bought this item for christmas. my 3 year old seems to have outgrown a smaller step 2 garage sale picnic table... this seems like it going to be perfect. it was not difficult at all to put together!

We are using the table as a transition between a booster seat at the kitchen table strapped in,to the picnic table then hopefully back to the kitchen table with out a strapped in booster seat. We are grand parents trying to raise twins.

The weather has been bad so my granddaughter has not used it yet. Looks good... can't wait until the weather improves so she can play at her new table.

My 20 month old son loves it. We use this indoors right now and he eats his meals, reads and colors at this table. We will use it for outdoors in the summer. It is great!

smaller than expected

It's been 3 weeks since we've purchased this table. It's rained on & off for a good two weeks of the three. We've kept this table outside in our backyard and it has held up very well under the rain (and sun)! We use this table for outdoor meals and messy crafts (sand sculpting, play-doh, painting, etc.). The tabletop is grooved so things do fall in between the grooves; however, it is easy to hose out/off if you don't allow it dry in there. The umbrella is big (5' in diameter) and easy to use, even for twin 2 1/2 yr olds. The only thing that could be better is if could tilt. The table/seating is designed for little ones. A taller/bigger 8 year old (our nephew) had a hard time getting in/out of the bench because the seating is attached to the table and curls up at the corners so it's difficult to swing one's legs in/out if one is too big for the design. Even a small adult (5', 100#, grandma) could not sit on the bench with the kids. One could however pull up a small chair and sit at the shorter end of the table with the kids. Overall, the table serves its purpose--outdoor use for meals & crafts AND small kids (we have twin 2 1/2 yr olds).
