Great purifier but expect more functionalities

We bought the GC MultiGas because the wildfire smoke in California is getting worse and worse each year, and we wanted to make sure we were breathing clean air in our home. The purifier works great at cleaning the air, which is obviously the most important aspect.
But the reason it doesn't get 5* from us is because, for the money it costs, we would expect it to be more technologically advanced. The device does not tell you what the quality of air is in your home, for that you have to but the 'AirVisual', so essentially you have to guess what level to put the MultiGas on unless you have the AirVisual.
Because the MultiGas doesn't detect the air quality itself, there's no way it can automatically react and keep the air quality at a certain level and therefore feels like a very manual process.
The remote is also terrible and you have to get so close to the device to use it that you may as well just press the buttons on the top.

I live in an area Klamath Falls That has been consistently surrounded by fire. Our particular readings have consistently been above 200... red and purple. You could smell the smoke Filtrating into our home. We could not escape it. I was coughing and had tremendous headaches. I needed some kind of relief so I started searching for a good air filter and I found one...the IQAir GC MuliGas. It provided the relief I needed from the smoke. There was no more smoke smell in the house and I got relief from the headaches and coughing. I would highly recommend this air filter to anyone Needing an air filter.

I got he GC MultiGas after my neighbor used Raid in our joint basement. The odor was overpowering and was making my wife ill. after only three days, the odor was gone and my wife's symptoms improved. I love that this worked so well and so quickly. I love this air cleaner.

great, helps so much with MCS. I also always feel less tired when I have new filters on one of these. This is my second GC multigas. I know have 4 IQAir air purifiers in all. Originally when I got my first one it allowed me to stay in my current living environment at the time which I almost could not tolerate. Thank you IQAir!

High quality unit. Simple to program and use. Sleek look. The only drawback I have found is that the unit is fairly loud when running at high fan speeds (hard to hear TV and other things above it).

Since getting the filter we've been running it constantly on speed 3-4 in a central room at our condo and within a few days the odors have disappeared. Tremendously happy with the purchase so far.
