Bought a new trailer built like a FEMA lawsuit one. The gas burned our eyes, made the cats hair fall out and him puke often. I bought 4 other VOC air cleaners before I spent the money on this one. This one is by far the best of them all. We no longer suffer as a result ( that we can observe ). But ours is an extreme situation. Don't waste your money on any other if you have any inkling of a VOC issue because I spent thousands on others that didn't cut the gas. I had 3 in the main room even that could not do what one IQ Multigas did. The filters in the IQ Gas are by far superior to the others. Do your due diligence.

These do an amazing job at cleaning the air in our funky smelling older house. They are big and bulky and not for the faint of heart. I really like that you can program them to run at different speeds during different times of day or night. My only complaint is all the plastic. I am somewhat chemically sensitive, and was pleased that I didn't have trouble with the plastic off-gassing, assumed maybe the carbon would take care of that too(?). But the design- with the long plastic parts that pull back to allow access to the filters seems prone to breakage, especially with a new user. It's just too easy to pull too hard on one of those things. And the wheels were REALLY hard to get to "snap" into place. I injured my hand trying.

I have been using this in a school Portable that has a "funky" smell. As a person who struggles with multiple chemical sensitivities I needed something to deal with the nose piercing smell PLUS the ongoing addition of students wearing various scented products. The lead custodian was cleaning my portable recently and said that the first thing he noticed was there was no smell in the portable. He was impressed! Prior to getting this machine I was taking at least half to a full day off a week. Now my body isn't overwhelmed and bombarded by chemicals and I haven't required any sick days. I use it on level 3 an arm's length from where I sit, and am happy with how quiet it is (though I do have to ask some of my students to speak up). Thank you for this amazing machine! I wish I bought it sooner!

I live in an apartment in NYC with a lot of chain smokers and their smoke was invading my unit to the point that my clean clothing in my closet was smelling Tabacco. I was getting sick with breathing allergies...I've spend a lot of money buying other purifiers with no positive results... It was awful. Thank to the MultGas air purifier; I do not smell it any more and my air is clean. It works like a miracle. I am so happy you have no idea...Thank you so much IQAir for saving my lungs and my life

I bought this since I have loads of airborne allergies. I also have chemical sensitivities and react to fragrances and VOC's that are off gassing from many items. This is working well in removing fragrances and any off gassing of new items such as furniture that is brought into my house.
