Lots of stuff going on with this watch, I really like it, but the display is disappointing really day hard to see the small numbers.

Size is not female friendly

While I absolutely love all the bells and whistles the watch is not female friendly. Garmin does not seem to take into consideration that females have smaller frames than men and we also run. Again I do love all the features on this watch, as well as not having to carry my phone while running, it would just be nice if they could produce a product that fits a smaller female frame.

Great watch with even better software

Really enjoying the data from my 5x plus after wearing it just one week. Pulse Ox data is also very cool to see. Battery life is exceptional for a smart watch!
Only other feature I'd like is a mic for Google search and response capability.

Doesn't Work as Advertised!!!

I just received my Garmin Fenix 5x plus for Christmas and am an avid outdoorsman. I have hunting dogs and got this watch mainly to keep track of my dogs but as well as measure certain things on our hunts. The step counter, oxygen sensor, and heart rate sensor all stopped working just two days after I got it. If I can't even count on this watch to count my steps accurately, why would I continue to use and trust this product to track my dogs? I will never buy another Garmin watch.

Third party map installation software doesn't work

I purchased this for a land survey job in the Guam jungles. Unfortunately, Garmin does not have any Topo maps for this area, so I had to buy a third party Topo map. Apparently, ever since the update (almost a year ago) the third party map installation software does not work.

We always attempt to be as compatible as possible with third party maps. If you are having issues with a non Garmin map we would encourage you to reach out to the map publisher directly for any possible workarounds

Great Device Overall

I have had this for about a week now. I love the product, it looks great on the wrist and gains tons of attention from anyone who know about smart watched and use of the Garmin specific type of products. Great fitness tracker which is my primary purpose of use, My few disappointments are as follows; NOT a TOUCH Screen, Seriously, my fitbit which was a 1/4 of the cost managed that, and the clarity of the screen seems post HD technology, again my Fitbit had better screen clarity than this device and finally for a being a smart watch i am disappointed that it does not light upon wrist shift to view screen, again my fitbit did at least that much.. Great product Garmin, but you missed few conveniences that the price should have accommodated.
