[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this about a month. Two things stand out. The bottom drawer is much smaller than the stove I replaced, and the burner splash pans are starting to corrode.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this model before and it was unfortunate that this new one failed after 2 days. Amana-Whirlpool has been kind to offer a replacement. I'm just concerned for future buyers that after more than 3 weeks my replacement has not shown up

Nice oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm happy with this oven overall, but feeling a bit annoyed with the way the burners work. While deciding which oven to buy, I learned of the existence of sensi-temp burners, which work by automatically turning down the heat as the temperature nears 450, to reduce the risk of cooktop fires. Many people were not happy with these burners, because the temperature did not adjust intelligently. I did not want this type of burner (sensi-temp), and made sure this oven did not have them. At it turns out, the burners on this oven work exactly like sensi-temp burners (I think sensi-temp is probably just the brand name for the technology). I was boiling water when the temperature suddenly reduced so much that the water became completely still, and essentially cooled off. After 15 minutes, the temperature of the burner had still not increased. I've since figured out a work-around by not turning the burners beyond number six, which allows the water to reach and maintain a boil (but takes longer to reach a boil that at the higher setting).
Apart from the burner problem, I'm happy to have an oven without a bunch of complicated controls I have no use for, and the oven section works fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm happy overall with this oven, but feeling a bit annoyed with the way the burners work. While comparing ovens prior to buying, I learned about the existence of sensi-temp burners (which cause the burner temperature to automatically be reduced when it nears 450, for the purpose of reducing fires). Many people disliked this type of burner, saying that it did not regulate the temperature intelligently. I decided to choose an oven without sensi-temp burners, and made sure that this Amana model did not have them. Unfortunately, these burners are behaving exactly as described for sensi-temp burners. I think that sensi-temp may be a specific brand name, and that the technology is what these burners do in fact use. The problem with this technology, by any name, is that when the burner nears 450 and is automatically turned down, it goes so far down that my boiling water came to a standstill, and then essentially cooled off. I waited 15 minutes and still the burner did not get hot again. I've since worked around this by not turning the burner higher than number 6.

Frustrated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 90 year old aunt needed a new range and she chose Amana, cause it looked like her old stove with coil top burners. She then had an internal defibrillator installed and after healing she tried to cook on the stove top. Unfortunately the front right burner overheats and she said it blew the pot lid across the room while on the 2 setting. Several days later, she showed me what she did and on 2 setting it blew the lid past m head as I was sitting nearby. I called the store who gave me the service number. I called service number and given appointment date and timeframe 12/7/23 11-3pm. On 12/6/23 I called the service number and confirmed the appointment. 12/7/23 no one came to look at stove and I called service number and they advised the apt was cancelled due to system error ?? She’s 90 with a bad heart and this upset her. Now we must wait 2 weeks for next apt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is just the stove I wanted/needed!! It has a self cleaning oven. It has conventional coils. I didn’t want a glass stove top I knew I would break and scratch. It fit perfectly where the former slide in range fit. It is a great stove. I did not want a stove with wi-fi. Amana delivered with this reasonably priced stove that does what I want and doesn’t do or have what I did not want. Thanks Amana!!!
