[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Temperatures are accurate for recipe cook times. The controls are easy to use and understand with the display choices. And it has warnings to let you know that the burners have been recently used and are still hot or warm even though they are not still glowing red. It pre-heats fast. All my other appliances are white GE but this black and silver fits well in the kitchen color.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have owned this stove for a month and l am the happiest l have been in years.Back to a good stove again. (I spent the last 9 years hating my 3 different high end glass top ranges. Cleaning up messes and using a razor each day, and making scratches in the glass despite being careful.Worst of all the glass tops perform poorly. Slow to heat ,burners cycling on and off, more boil over spills,and the glass always looking crappy. Also living in fear of breaking the glass.Expensive repairs of replacing hidden oven or stove top elements .)
I will say that l was scared to purchase a new coil top with all the on line complaints of the new coil burners with regulators. However l knew l could change them to the old style if l didn’t like them.. Once l started using the stove, l couldn’t believe how fast and how well the coils work. I love the elements.I have no idea why there is complaints on them, compared to glass top ranges ,they are superior. Pans sit properly on the coils ,they heat up fast and very accurate cooking, resulting in less clean up and spills.After a month of hard use , l haven’t lifted a coil to clean yet. The oven is great and after owning high end stoves l worried l would miss the true convection, l don’t . Pies,cakes, butter pastries, roasted chicken, pizzas, cookies ect. Everything cooks and browns evenly and tastes delicious.The best part is l was able to put foil under the exposed oven element to catch spills. (The hidden oven element ranges you can’t and are hard to keep the oven clean). I am now using my presto pressure canner, and the elements work accurately , no more worries of a heavy canner breaking glass and the glass top taking twice as long to bring pressure up. I can only say that it is a shame that glass tops are the main stoves offered and picked for looks/and so called easier to keep clean,lol.. (However if you don’t cook much and value looks ,over function, and understand that the new sleek glass will get scratchy and foggy over time,go for it! )
The coil ranges are the easiest to keep clean and they heat up much quicker. That saves me a lot of time and aggravation in the kitchen. I have been married for 40 years ,so l wasn’t born yesterday. I just hope that Amana /Whirlpool and other manufacturers will continue to offer these traditional ranges as they work the best!
