Not well insulated

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this range a month ago. It strikes me as being very poorly insulated. When the oven is on, even set as low as 200 degrees, the entire range gets hot. When one burner is on, the whole stove top gets hit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was cynical going in, knowing the new stove would be inferior to our 20 year old one. I have been proven right. A burner has already been replaced before 30 days, the lower drawer doesn't work without getting on your knees to put it back together, the oven takes forever to preheat, there is virtually no preheat or cook time alarm.

Troubleshooting Oven Heat Consistency Issues!

Burners are okay as it can boil a pot/kettle of water pretty quickly. The big problem is the oven heat is 75 degrees Fahrenheit off, which makes roasting and baking very frustrating and unnecessarily complicated. Is there a way to 'calibrate' this oven to set a temperature for it to remain at the temperature you set it at? Raw potatoes and sad loaves of bread shouldn't be happening with a new oven.
Our oven thermometer is very reliable, seeing it through the large viewing window makes it puzzling since the control guide inaccurately states "the oven provides accurate temperatures" when it very clearly does not appear so.

Mixed feelings....the good and the bad....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have mixed feelings about the stove. First, it heats faster than my old Frigidaire both on the stovetop and in the oven which I like. I'm not sure how I feel about the exposed heating element in the bottom of the oven. I have yet to boil anything over in it, but I'm afraid its going to be very hard to clean (both the element and around and under it). I suspect the exposed element is one reason why it heats up faster but I'm not sure the trade off will be worth it. I did buy some oven liners just in case.
I really do like the WARM feature and that I can go as low as 145° for dehydrating. That's a big plus for me.

The main reason that I only gave it 4 stars is because of multiple small things that all seem to add up.
First I'll start with the "START" button. I find it extremely annoying that I have to hit the start button after every time I do something. If I want to pre heat the oven, select temp and hit start, change the temp.. hit start, use the pre-set temps... hit start...set the timer...hit start... add more time... hit start... and so on. I never had to do that before and so for me it's a major annoyance because I forget to hit start and then come back and realize the oven isn't hot or the timer didn't go off because it never started. And that leads me to the timer... once you set the timer ... and hit start... you can't add time to it without turning it off and starting over... and don't forget to hit START.... AGAIN! I also wish the timer was louder so that I could hear it from the next room.
Next, are the sensors on the burners. I realize that these are government mandated safety things, but they create a "dead" spot for heat in the center of the burner which is a pain when cooking things like burgers or pancakes, or toasting buns.
The last thing that I have an issue with are the 2 small burners. The back left burner on low is hotter than the right front burner. You would think that they'd be the same right?

Not good

Our landlord bought us this stove. We love the oven but it takes forever to boil water and even then it doesnt come to a complete boil. It take over an hour just to cook spaghetti noodles and with a family of 9 that's not a thing. Is there anyway of changing the elements on this stove to just normal elements.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Boiling water?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had my new freestanding range for about two weeks now. The oven works great, but I tried to boil 2 cups of water the other day, in the old fashion way, and after 30 minutes it never did boil. So I went back to the manual, and researched on Google. I understand that UL required new burner coils. However, I shouldn’t have to have hot water to start with, keep it covered and still have to wait 15 minutes before I saw the first bubbles of a rolling boil. It seems a little ridiculous to me that something as simple as boiling water now takes a significant amount of time to achieve. Otherwise I’ve fried eggs and cooked meat on the top of the range with no problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome Stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove functions as it should and has cool features like the bake assist temps. It also lets you know that the stove top is hot and when the stove top is on. I'm not sure about everyone else but it sure has saved my stuff from burning a couple times. The only thing about this stove I DONT LIKE is that the entire stove get really hot to the touch from using the oven especially the stovetop part of it.
