Good range for the money

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago to replace a 25 year old range. I didn't realize how bad my old one was until I got this one. I have enjoyed cooking and baking with this new range and it has done everything I needed. It has warnings to let me know when a burner is on and the cooktop is hot. It is pretty basic compared to other ranges you can get but this one does what I need and I'm happy with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this because we just needed a basic electric oven that worked. Right away, we noticed that the top burners on the right did not make the "surface on" light turn on. In addition, it seemed to have a hard time holding heat for a consistent bake temperature. It also maxed out at 500 degrees, rather than the more common 550. We ended up returning it for a better oven.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent Range.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago and I am so pleased with my purchase. Stove top heats quickly. Oven is large with easily adjustable racks. Oven is easy to use and adjust oven temperature. I also like how you can watch temp go up as ove pre heats and chimes when done. Just a well made product in a black and stainless finish.

Now this is a range !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After many troubles with smooth top ranges ( none of which were Amana) we decided to go back to the coil top. We have never owned an Amana. This so far has been an excellent decision. The range is exctly what we needed. It is easy to clean. The eyes all get super hot and easy to control the heat. The oven is huge and cooks evenly.
Needless to say we are all new fans of Amana.

Proven technology / Modern implementation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought our home and the stove was a different brand glass-top unit. Wouldn't even get hot enough to boil a 4gal stock pot. Gas is not available in our neighborhood, so we went with an electric coil-top range, which gets MUCH hotter and is MUCH easier to control. Traditional technology just works when it is supposed to work. Add to that some modern technology bits here and there, timers where appropriate, easy to clean features, etc., and you have a VERY solidly built unit that will do exactly what it is meant to do and last a very long time. Burner pans clean easily and can be put in the dishwasher, as can the top burners, so clean-up is a piece of cake (sorry for the pun here). Inside self-cleans as expected and works well. The installation instructions were plainly written but almost not needed at all. Fit and finish were, as expected from Amana, outstanding. Unit is rugged and quality is high. Won't buy anything else as long as high-quality units like this one are available.
