Great quality race track

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was so excited to open the box and put this together. It was super easy to put together and the fun started right away! We turned it on and my kids just sat there watching the car go quickly around the track. They tried adding in more cars, sometimes they worked and sometimes they would crash. My son thought that was really fun. All of my kids had a lot of fun with this. We had a good time sorting through our hot wheels collection and testing out cars. Some cars worked a lot better than others! My only complaint is the size of it.. it's very large and takes up a lot of floor space when not being used.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epic Set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My eleven year old loves this set. It kept him busy for hours, which is no small feat at this delicate age.
Some points about this set:
- was easy to put together. My son did not need help and was able set it up in no time
- worked great the first time. I am always nervous with complex set ups as cars tend to fall out and not stay on the track causing unneeded frustration. This set worked great every time.
- compatible with other tracks. My son had the cars coming down our stairs ending in this awesome set up. So much fun to watch! He even extended some of the loops. Really versatile.
- Incredibly fast fun, everything you need is included.

Fun time for Kids & Adults!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun game for all ages. I have two daughters 7 & 11, and a son 8, who all love playing with this Corkscrew Crash Track. Even my husband and I like the challenge of trying to see how many Hot Wheels cars we can get on the track at the same time. Only problem with the Corkscrew Crash Track is my children arguing over whose turn it is next!

Fun AND frustrating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First this set is a fairly good size but very easy to put together, my 7 year old put it together with very little assistance from my 9 year old. We were missing one small piece and at time of review I had not successful in finding a replacement online through the link on the instruction manual. As the parent who usually puts these together I really appreciate the detailed illustrations and tips that are included for assembly. The Corkscrew Crash was a hit from the start, it has movement! The kids were surprised how fast that car was pushed through by the little motorized assembly! My son was very entertained by the continuous loop, only to add more cars! Sometimes it worked, sometimes it caused equally entertaining crashes! We had to really play with one loop in order for it to complete the rotation correctly which took some time and the kids were losing interest in that pretty fast. My 7 year old also had quite a bit of trouble getting it going from the launcher at first. He got it down just towards the end of his patience level but once he got the correct amount of force he was able to launch his car more often than not. Adding cars was fun but they have to be a smaller, similar size to the provided car as on tiny portion of the track is a covered guide. We only had one other vehicle that would fit well enough to work. Overall my 7 and 9 year olds enjoyed this track and my younger enjoyed watching it. It will get much use in our house!

Great in Theory but Disappointing Results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son LOVES the concept of this track, but the only car that stays on is the one it came with. I’ve seen the response in here from Mattel saying don’t use heavier cars/trucks. Well, we have 100’s of hot wheels and haven’t found a single other car that stays on like the one with the set. Why would Hot Wheels make & sell a track that is all about cars crashing into each other but only one car will actually run on it? So disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're sorry for your disappointment! Vehicles that work best are regular 1:64 scale sports cars or sedans. Bulky or too heavy cars, such as vans, trucks or buses won’t work as well. Part of the fun is figuring out which cars work best with the race set. It may take some practice and trial 'n error before you find a car that runs the fastest or always completes the track. Then you know you’ve got a real winner!

Only works with the car it came with!

On the box, we have a wonderful depiction of multiple cars on the track crashing into each other. The name of the set is actually “Corkscrew Crash” but we cannot get any of the 1:64 scale sports cars that we have. This thing is a joke, my 7 year old does not even want to play with it any more and keeps asking if we can buy more cars to try... thanks for nothing Mattel, I am sure some executive somewhere is saying, yay, it’s working they are buying more cars to try!!
Cons:
-Expensive to purchase and operate
-The blue contraption stops the cars
-Cars rarely make it through the track more than once
-We have never successfully had multiple cars traversing the track at one time
-Takes up a lot of space and not easy to store without completely disassembling
-Somewhat loud

Picked this up as a christmas gift for the 2 boys in our family. Didn't very much thought in to any of it originally, haven't followed any products of hot wheels since I was a young kid. But after assembling and playing with it on Christmas day with the kids I've since gotten to know more of the current product line. Since adding about $150 - $200 in tracks and cars I am now ready to literally turn our entire 1st floor in to a hot wheels super city / stunt track arena! Thank you "MATTEL" for creating products that family's can enjoy doing together!

Lots of fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son absolutely loves this track. He can sit and play for hours. This track has some power it’s fun to watch playtime. This is made very well and I love the loops that the cars go around. This track set is good size and is very easy to assemble. It’s also not very loud so it doesn’t get annoying while my son plays with it. The quality is great too !
