Great Set

I was very pleased with the quality, aesthetics and functionality of this model. The construction lasted 2 days, done interminently. The result was very good. An excellent rally carror (only worth not having full wheel drive), well built, albeit with simplicity and with the possibility of being motorized with some ease. The decor is very good and the detail of the extra headlights is excellent. Great suspension course. A pleasure to assemble, "play" and join the collection.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Challenging but Fun!

I purchased this kit because the suspension got my attention. This set was challenging as I have never tackled a kit of this size, This thing is HUGE! The suspension is more simple than I thought at first but not to easy. The steering is really nice and the opening hood, doors, and rear hatch let a lot of light in if your trying to look in there! The V-6 is awesome, it is up to scale, the seats and steering wheel however are not. The steering knob on top does not protrude and is perfect! The stickers are realistic and I love that it has driver names. Over all this set is one of the best Lego kits I've ever had. Fabulous job Lego!

A great lego set!

The first thing I noticed about this set is the bold colour scheme. I'm sure some won't like it, but I think it is a good change. Also, the suspension does a great job, especially in the rear where it travels a great distance. On the other hand, it is strange how a rally car does not have four wheel drive, and the lack of any new, exciting functions is disappointing. I am also surprised that there isn't a single powered technic set this first half of the year. Still, it is cool how small panels flare out in front of the rear wheels when you lift the engine cover at the back! In conclusion, I think it is a good set for those who aren't looking for a big challenge, but want a good sized model. I would recommend it!

Cool Car!

Found this surprisingly looking for the Mack Anthem. Somehow missed this set watching the pre-release videos. Got to say this is one cool car. Thing is SUPER wide! It's probably 2 inches wider than the AROCS truck. Very cohesive build. Looks really good. Nothing fancy, just a nice looking set. Cool mid engine V-6 design. Full independent suspension, and a trick trunk opening mechanism.

Very Pleased with this Build

This was my very first build in the Technic Series and I was very pleased with this build overall. Unlike some of the other sets I have assembled there was no real repeating, so each new step felt original and unique which for me added to the value. It never ceases to amaze me how things you do in earlier stages are crucial to stages later on in the build. Definitely some next level engineering went into this design. I decided on the race car option instead of the dune buggies, partly because the instructions for the race car were included whereas the dune buggy instructions needed to be downloaded from online. It took me about 20 hours total to put this together. Partly because I am a very slow builder in general, but also because all of the pieces were mixed together in one big bag instead of several uniquely numbered bags that you can follow step by step, like the star wars series. That added to the total length of time it took for this build and did not really take away from my enjoyment. I will definitely give the technic series another try and I can't wait for my next build.

This is an awesome LEGO model. It is detailed, accurate to a real rally car, and is just challenging enough. Certainly worth the money.

4 stars because I felt it should have had AWD being a rally car and I felt the back needed some more sponsor stickers. Also wish the steering wheel would have been functional, as the little gear on top of the roof to turn the front wheels seems completely out of place. That being said, this was a fun build and the car is very aesthetically pleasing!

Excellent Rally Car

This was a fun set to put together. I love rally cars so was delighted that one had been done. The instructions were clear and the pieces went together well and the finished car looks great and I hope they do another one.
Only quibble, the roll cage is not quite right, would've preferred it to go together slightly differently but just my opinion.
Built the other buggy as well, looks good but I wanted the rally car so the set will stay as the rally car for the foreseeable future.
