Great, except for the blobs of ink

I had high hopes for this printer. I have to print plans at 11 x 17 frequently and I'm tired of running to Kinko's every time I have to print. Unfortunately, this printer is spilling ink onto odd places in the drawings. I will have to return it because I can't have big black smears across the pages.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I Love This Machine....

I could not believe how well this printer works for me. It is not huge and fits in a smaller space than my last wide format printer. It makes awesome poster prints and the Photos are beautiful. The ink saving demos for customers previews still look great and have worked in getting me the job every time. I was worried that it would burn through ink but it has not. Could not ask for more.

Great wide printer for the price

I'm a long time Epson user having working in the photographic field. I was surprised to find a wide format Epson printer in this price range. The printer functions very well and with two paper paths and double side printing it's a steal for the price. I print posters and event ticket stock with no problems. The driver has all the usual Epson features including loadable color profiles. I replaced my aging 2200 with this machine and am very happy with the results.

Printer set up in minutes, no problems.
I ran 210 prints of blank note cards, everything ran fine. Quality is great. I would recommend this printer!

11X17 misrepresentation

I checked the advertisment again and sure enough the ads say that 11X17 is a duplex print option and it isn't. I wanted to have 8 1/2 X 11 output from 11 X 17 sheets via the duplex printer. Other than the disappointing misrepresentation it's a good printer.

Excelent printer vs purchase value

A very good printer vs cost. I use this printer for marketing material and it does the job very well. It consumes a bit more ink from what Epson states, but for the quality of printouts it gives you this is negligible. I am very satisfied.
