Great performance, color and value.

Very nice monitor. I have an aging computer system that had a 1080p 24" monitor. I was shocked at the huge jump in quality, color and performance this new monitor provided. I really thought it would just be bigger. The realism on this thing is fantastic. Resolution isn't everything. I think that the auto color and contrast control, improved black levels and motion control, plus the lag reduction feature of this monitor make it way better than most 4k monitors currently on the market without these features. The price is less than half a 4k monitor at this size too! The ambiglow is about the coolest thing I have seen and I love that it lights my desktop up a bit when the lights are out! Thanks Philips for improving my quality of life!
The bad however is the documentation is not great. Some features it explains great, others It tells you what a feature is but does not really explain it, and others no info at all like the lag feature. Also Philips what audio port out comes on this device? I dare you to look at the pictures, website or manual to find out. It isn't there! This is a big consideration for many buying monitors today as we use the audio over HDMI/Display Port then back out to the speakers. The control software that you download (manual said it was on included cd, there is no cd included) to control the monitor setting without having to do it through the OSD, crashes when run. My machine is a very stable/vanilla Windows 10 64 bit setup. So no, it's not my machine that's the problem and yes I disable the usual suspects such as antivirus and firewall and installed the monitor driver and rebooted. It still crashes every time. I am using the display port and driving it with a 5 year old Radeon HD7950. This being a brand new monitor, and the software having just been released too, I have hope they will get it sorted.
Pros: lag reduction, ambiglow, auto contrast, qhd, display port and 2 hdmi ports!, flicker free, amd freesync, awesome asthetics, reputable manufacturer, display port & hdmi cables included
Cons: poor documentation, software crashes, website documentation is also poor, no audio port info other than it has one
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great value monitor

This monitor does the job asked of it. And at 299, it should far exceed the expectations of a monitor at this price. I am coming from a Lenovo gaming monitor, 27 in curved with g-sync. The Philips beats it in every visual category, with gaming not being much worse
Pros: large screen, good design, bright
Cons: low hz, so so response time
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was hesitant at first to go 1440p but this monitor is awesome wish the ambiglow worked on DP instead of just hdmi but its minor.

I got this thing 3days ago and it is everything I wanted. I took a month to pick out a 32" and went back and forth but this one just came out and after reviewing the specs, I pulled the trigger and bought. Brilliant colors, no shadowing. This resolution is the perfect compromise between 4k and 2k. This big of a monitor this resolution level with text is amazing.(2560*1440) And no glare. I don't use the amblglow being unless you're gaming or watching a movie at night, I don't see the need, but it is cool. The only thing I don't like is the stand. It is sturdy and strong but it spreads out pretty far and outside of tilt, isn't adjustable. But I didn't plan on moving my monitor height so it is fine. The stand is sturdy though and looks expensive and not monitor like so the display looks quasi-monitor TV like. Actually more futuristic looking that old school pedal-stool base. Great product. Great quality and looks top end. You will be happy with this!

Cons: wide stand but i'm used to it. sturdy though

Poor image quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited about my purchase, new big monitor, with a few but all good reviews.
But unfortunately i noticed poor image quality, especially when compared to my 10 years old Dell TN display (st2310), dell TN looks much crisp and clear, it doesn't have wide color gamut as this philips, but shows very clear details in dark and bright areas. And this philips shows mashed up blacks, poor detail, grayscale banding.
I tried configure the monitor to fix this, but it's impossible because it is a hardware problem (poor panel)
Also pixel response time is not 5ms, its feels like 8-10ms if not more.
If you try to adjust sharpness level it can be set 10/20/30/40/50/60/70/80/90/100 default is 50, and its little blurry, but at 60 its oversharp. So you cant set good sharpness.
Audio jack is not working. Of course i double checked cables and settings.
But not everything is bad, it has good input lag, just set smartsize to 1:1 (do not use "low input lag" option), but its still not a gaming monitor.
Its really flicker free
Ambiglow light is ok, but you don't notice it while gaming/working.
Pros: big display, no dead pixels, good viewing angels, good input lag, flicker free
Cons: bad blacks, poor grayscale smoothness (banding), poor sharpness and image clarity, audio jack not working, somewhat blurry pixel response time
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
