After years of Hunting - The perfect Watch!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just bought the V40 Phone and my wife gave me this watch.. It's so much better that I expected.! What I love about it, in order. 1. Looks Classy, Masculine, Always shows the time, easy to navigate, Not Overwhelming functionality.

Wanted LG product

I like the functions of the watch but my watch had an issue, with a malfunctioning second hand. Contacted seller, who set me up with LG to set up a repair. I have it back now and all seems well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as I'm concerned, out of all the things a smart watch can and should do, one thing is the most important: showing the time! As a long time happy user of the LG Urbane, I decided to upgrade to the W7.
The W7 is beautiful, and the physical hands are just great! I don't mind them obstructing the screen slightly, as the fact they're always (almost, see below) visible, is far more important. Scrolling up and down a bit to see a text message is fine, I don't even use the top right button that moves the hands.

However, there are a few caveats, which in some aspects make it a downgrade from the Urbane:
- Battery life is very short. Comparing apples to apples - the Urbane would get over 24 hours of always-on screen. In the same settings - the W7 has a mere 4 to 5 hours battery life! Turning off the always on (ambient) mode I can get 11-12 hours, still not enough for a full day.
- The screen is LCD, not OLED! That's more visible at night, as if viewed at any angle but 90 degrees the blacks are not black, and the whole surface of the screen looks shiny gray. Even with a mostly-black watchface, due to the backlight bleeding through the watch just shines light.
- The physical hands are not really visible at night. Black background watchfaces are not usable as you just can't see the hands, you can only hope to see them on a lighter watchface, when they show as thin black shadows. The hands look as if they have phosphorus on them, however that's just paint, and they do not retain any light at all to be visible at night.
Had LG figured out the above, this watch would have been perfect!

Great time piece but with a few draw backs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've recently purchased the watch a few days ago and thought I would share my opinion, the presentation of the watch when you first open the box is brilliant, the quality of the watch itself is brilliant. One main things that reviewers where saying about the watch is about the physical hands getting in the way and cover notifications, I found once using it that for me it isn't really a major problem and LG has been pushing updates to make the readability with the hands a lot better than before. The watch it self is brilliant it runs wearOS really well due to it having more than 512mb of RAM making animations run smooth and watch apps load quickly. A major good thing going for the watch is its style if you are looking for a style piece this is it, I have had people asking what kind of watch it is and saying it looks so stylish. But this watch does have some drawbacks one of the main ones is no heart rate sensor for health conscious people they rely on it, another thing I found the battery is quite up and down I don't know if that's my watch or if its just google software but the battery is quite up and down, Another thing is the vibration motor does feel a little cheap as well.
TLDR: Overall if your looking for a watch that has style get this watch, this watch will turn heads anywhere you go with it
Pros: stylish is heck, Smooth animations, the mechanical hands smooth, the fact the watch still works as a watch after wearOS is off
Cons: The hands getting in the way at times, Vibration motor, battery life, side buttons and digital crown, lack of health sensors, lack of speaker

Very nice watch, the problem is no speaker and heart beat monitor. Performance is on Par with similar watches. Very elegant looks like a nice sport watch
