[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the product is nicely built and the brightness is attractive for the younger kids. The only complaint that I have is that the toy comes with all the instrument cups but there is no place to store them. Other than that it is a great toy for those who love music and will entertain for hours.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun and edicational toy! Many music functions included and fun games for your little ones! It teaches them music and numbers all in one! Very colorful and has bright fun lights. The talking Octopus is absolutely amazing!! Great for toddlers up to six years of age! Keeping them entertained for hours to come! And is also great for motor and listening skills. I received this product for free to review but highly enjoyed playing with this with my kids!

Great Concept but poor execution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a interesting toy that teaches musical instrument knowledge with some math mixed in. I like the concept but the execution falls short. The rear of the toy only holds two additional instrument blocks while the other four are occupied. That still leaves nine extra pieces with no way of storage other than a zip lock bag...
I also wish the brightness of the lights could have been more muted, it is very bright for a toy where the child is usually no more than two to three feet away from the toy. Bright flashing light at close proximity can be a issue with some children with light sensitivities.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So much fun and captivating!

Family concert time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before I even opened the box, my 5 year old was pressing all the buttons and eagerly waiting for me to open the box. This toy does not disappoint. My 5 year old spent hours playing all the different as activities and even my 6 month old was excited with all the musical sounds.
My 5 year old loved to learn the many different sounds of the instruments and the different math and listening games. The math game teaches you how to add and subtract in a fun musical way! I was even able to get in on the fun as we played different levels of tapping and recognizing colors. There was a total of 5 levels to keep your child entertained.
One of the best features is being able to create your own concert with the different types of instruments. We all had a great time putting together different instruments and getting a wonderful musical surprise each time.
There is an app you can download that also provides plenty of entertainment for he whole family!

Very Cool and Engaging Educational Toy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My almost 5 year old son was thrilled to receive the Rocktopus! I couldn't get it out of the package fast enough. Batteries were included and it worked right out of the box. My son and his 7 year old sister quickly figured it out and were playing together mixing sounds/instruments and creating songs in minutes.
Four of the Rocktopus' arms hold musical instrument pods, and there is an option to play a very cool addition and subtraction game by adding and removing the instrument pods. I only wish this went a little higher than the numbers 0-4 - because he actually enjoyed this very much and would easily help to build a good match foundation for preschoolers.
Rocktopus is not overly loud and surprisingly is not annoying like many electronic toys. I'm very pleased with this toy and I think we'll enjoy it for a long time. My only complaint is that there is not enough storage on the Rocktopus for all the instrument pods. I believe there are 15 instrument pods; he holds 4 in his arms at a time during play, there is a little shelf on the back that holds an additional 2. I think it would have been nice to have a little drawer built in to the bottom to hold the rest, so they aren't as easily misplaced.
Overall, two thumbs up! Highly recommend!
