Very disappointed...

I seen a video from Fisher-Price saying this came with 15 instruments, and I ordered it from a toy store. When we opened it, we discovered it only had 6. Wasn’t aware there were two different models. Very misleading. Now it is already opened so I cannot return it and I cannot buy the extra instruments separate.

Cute, but could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My children enjoy the Rocktopus in short bursts. For them, it's doesn't hold their interest for very long. It is cute and fun, but very limited in its features, and for that reason I think it is a bit overpriced. My biggest gripe with it is all of the loose pieces and nowhere to store them all. For some reason the toy can only hold 6 "instruments" at a time, so the other 9 have nowhere to go. Needless to say, I find these pieces all over the house. Why they didn't think to add a storage pouch or container to store them all in is beyond me. The instruments are pretty small and very easy to lose, so this is a pretty obvious design fail. As far as the toy itself, it's tolerable compared to other musical toys. It's not too loud and the music isn't terribly annoying, but my children (ages 3 and 6) just get bored with it fairly quickly. I think a couple more features (maybe the ability for kids to record and playback their own voices?) and storage for the pieces would make this a much better toy and worthy of its price tag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My four year old loves this toy. The lights and instrument pieces are fun, bright and engaging, and the multiple modes keep her attention. She loves the technology aspect, and I feel like a great mom for providing a fun alternative to the tablet. There is a math mode, music mode and game mode, and is one of the few “noise” toys we have that doesn’t drive us crazy after day 1. This toy works best for children at least 3 who can follow simple instructions, and enjoy music. My daughter knew maybe 3 instruments before this, but the system makes it easy to learn more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My twin 5 year olds love music. This is awesome, because they can explore the sounds different instruments make and play around. This toy is a great introduction to instruments. My kids want to take musical lessons now and this toy has helped them hear what kinds of music each instrument makes. This toy has provided hours of fun for many different ages of kids.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rocktopus is very cute and has great educational features. It has bright colorful lights and the sounds are clear and understandable. The Rocktopus suggests things to do so you can keep playing different games. The Bop and Rock game seems to be sons favorite, you have to push down the instruments that turn the color Roctopus instructs.
The Rocktopus is actually smaller than I expected it to be which is good for storage its only about 12" across 10" front to back and about 6" high. Before you open it advise getting something to store the extra instruments in as they tend to get misplaced easily.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the Fisher-Price - Think and Learn Rocktopus a few weeks ago, and my 3 year old son has so much fun with it! He loves to hear what all the different instruments sound like. He enjoys the different modes of play, but mainly likes to make the instrument sounds. I love how he was able to figure out how to play with it easily and quickly. It was nice to not have much to put together. My son also loves the IPad app that the instructions recommend downloading. It doesn’t interact with the Rocktopus though. The only wish I have for this toy, is that it had more of a place to hold the different instruments. Otherwise the Rocktopus has been a big hit at our house.

Great for music lovers!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Fisher-Price Think and Learn Rocktopus is a fun toy if your child enjoys music. It has many different pieces which represent instruments that the Rocktopus can play. I liked that it included instruments that aren’t as popular like the congas and cowbell. My 3 year old was excited to try it out and loved listening to the instruments and seeing the lights. We downloaded the free app that goes along with the toy and my child really enjoyed that. One of the things that I would change is having the toy come with some type of carrying case. 15 instrument pieces are a lot and trying to keep them all together has been a challenge. We look forward to exploring this toy a little more and using the app along with it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 5-year-old son was thrilled opening this toy and working with different sound. The Roctopus is a fully engaging toy. The moment he started playing different sound, he started having so much fun. He tried making so many combinations with the pods. The toy is great for encouraging creativity and musical sense for the child. The Octopus is designed so well with all the color combination that it seems attractive and the child tries by himself. The maths and fun game part is also the added best feature. My son loves it. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion and enjoyed playing this with my son.
