I have to say. I'm in my 60's, I don't want any problems in the morning, just a cup of coffee. after this machine is set up all you have to do is press a button and get your coffee, first cup about two minutes, after that about 30 seconds each. My wife loves the cappuccino.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Makes excellent coffee

This Barista makes really good coffee... However, this machine needs mechanical refining... Water shoots out during beginning phase of milk steaming process. Very inconvenient and messy. Also when making cappuccino or expresso after pressing automatic feature water drips into cup before coffee. Really messy. You always need small cup to catch initial splatter of water when making coffee or milk. At this price point, I should not have to work so hard to make my coffee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simplify your morning routine

I chose to give the Picobarista 5 stars because it is simply the best super automatic machine out there. It is super easy to use, clean, and maintain. The people who complain have probably never used an espresso machine. Or know what is involved in the process of creating the perfect cup of espresso each and every time. This machine takes out the guess work, and all you have to do is press the button. And do the periodic cleaning. Which isn’t bad at all, since most of it is dishwasher safe, and the machine will notify you of most of the cleaning intervals.
We use Labazza Super Crema espresso beans. But you can use any that are “superautomatic”-friendly.
If you want great coffee in the morning without thinking about it, and don’t want to become a barista... this is the way to go.

what would move this to a five star is the milk and coffee downspouts are a bit awkward. You have to be very selective on the size of the cup to ensure the milk and coffee end up in the cup.

This product doesn't meet my expectations

I chose this machine because I had such wonderful luck with the Saeco Magic Comfort coffee maker I had for almost 20 years. When it no longer could be revived I bought the Pico to accommodate the much smaller kitchen I now enjoy. This machine is OK; but it is very "needy". The water container is so small; the drip tray needs constant emptying; and the frother has been impossible to use for goof cappucino. I guess my expectations were too high. At the price I paid, I expected it to perform to my high expectation level.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best expresso machine

Very easy to use, the grinder is quiet, it takes up little space on the countertop. A very smart coffee machine.
