YOGA 730 - Nice Laptop

I own a YOGA 900 & 910 and find the screen just a touch small, so I went with the 15" display on the YOGA 730. Love it!
The YOGA 730 is faster than the 910, screen display is snappier and the 1TB SSD is great.
My only complaint is the placement of the USB-C port. It should be on the left side of the machine. If you use a mouse, the port gets in the way!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The battery is really bad. I was running Photoshop and Illustrator and it would last less than 2 hours. I returned it. Besdes that, the performance is really good, and the laptop in general is very nice. If you are not gonna use graphic software it´s a really nice laptop. Especially the tablet mode.

Great incomplete laptop !!

I bought the laptop a year a ago, and so far all i can say that it is a great value for money laptop which feels premium and offers a great performance. However, it feel like a prototype of a good product that was never completed.
Here are some of the comments and inconveniences i had with this laptop throughout the last year:
1.hardware issues
*Some of the keyboard keys failed and just stopped responding. This has been the most annoying problem i had with this laptop and it happened recently after 10 months of use just before the warranty ends ( I had to extend my warranty after this since i learnt that the laptop is prone to hardware failure ). I've sent it to maintenance and it has been almost a month and it wasn't sent back so far.
*Cheap fingerprint sensor that rarely works. I've written this under the hardware problems since I've tried updating and re-installing the drivers for it and the problem was never solved.
*The trackpad rattling to the touch out of the box. The trackpad is great and works fine but it makes rattling sound to any tap (not clicking) on it. At first i felt i was nitpicking, however, it is really noticeable and gets annoying after using it for a short period of time.
*There are some aesthetic flaws that are not very noticeable. like, some of the seams are slightly uneven and edges are not completely flush.
2.the screen is great but very dim. I always keep the brightness on the highest setting even indoors and i'm not a bright screen fan, but the screen full brightness is comparable to other laptops 50% brightness setting. Using this laptop outdoors is tricky. has to be well shaded place.
3. battery life is very short. You can hardly get 4 hours on this laptop just browsing the internet. If you're doing some work it drops almost to 2.5 hours and can be pushed a little more if you use lower brightness setting but then the whole experience is so unpleasant since as i mentioned the screen is quite dim.
The laptop performance is great, feels premium, and offers a great value for money compared to other competitors. The 2 in 1 feature is really useful and works great with the pen. However, these problems ruins the experience especially the keyboard problem which is why I've written this review.
Again, overall the laptop is great but if feels incomplete or never passed the quality tests.

Worst bang for your buck of all time.

I bought this laptop a little over a year ago, but I've been having issues for a while. The laptop is incredibly slow and it sounds like a plane is about to take off when I turn it on. I usually have to stack it on top of two books to let the fans blow out of the bottom of the laptop. Do not try and use this for gaming either as it sounds like the laptop might actually blow up from how fast the fans are spinning. Not to mention the actual temperature of the laptop while gaming will burn your hands if you touch it in some areas. Overall, this thing is basically a worse version of a Chromebook but for a thousand more dollars.
