Love the look but disappointed in the functionality

My husband paid full price as a Christmas gift a year and a half ago. I love the look and everything it had to offer but right away I noticed the battery life was terrible. Six months in the battery wouldn't charge at all so sent it back on warranty (had to pay shipping). If I connect it to my phone to get notifications or choose a workout the battery dies within a half a day, so I only use it as a watch now and a few of the standard things such as km's, steps and heart rate which typically lasts most of the day. However, recently even those functions are frozen and only the watch is working now. Really disappointed as I really wanted a smart watch that looked like a nice watch and not a fit bit. My rating of 1 star is for the look of the watch.

Lots of features, great intro, if not pricey, for a new smartwatch user. Seamless communication w mobile device (Note9) and OS. Battery life, not so much. Dies about 3/4 of the day through, sometimes only 1/2 day. Working on what notifications can happen, supposedly will help. Free shipping will be slow, but it is free, just dont get too excited to think FedEx will deliver, they only pass it off to USPS, making the whole shipping process take at least 1-2 days longer than stated.

This smartwatch is one of the smaller ones out there and I really enjoy that it doesn't look bulky or gaudy on my smaller wrists. I get compliments on it's aesthetic all the time. In a world where most Android watches are either huge, black, and tactical, or rose-gold with rhinestones, I appreciate that the Falster 2 is unisex. I love the unique, magnetic mesh band. I find it very sure-fitting. The magnet feels strong and stays throughout the day. Out-of-the-box the watch didn't last me through my 8-hour work day, which concerned me at first. However, after a couple charge cycles, and turning location services off (I only really need GPS for navigation and running, not so much for sitting at a desk), my battery now lasts around 12 hours with moderate use. I use it primarily for receiving and responding to notifications since I can't use my phone at work. You could probably turn off more features like heart rate and NFC if you wanted it to last longer; I recommend figuring out your routine with this watch and what works best for you. If you plan on heavy usage, the nice thing is the watch charges very quickly. After comparing what seemed like hundreds of Android smartwatches (it took me a few weeks to sift through all the watches out there), I settled on the Falster 2 and I don't regret it one bit. My only hesitation with this watch was the "older" Snapdragon chip (2100 instead of 3100), but I read a few official reviews that said the 3100 chip didn't provide as much improvement over the 2100 as anticipated. Overall, I'm happy with its performance, battery life, and professional look.
Bought as a gift. Recipient was so excited. However that was short lived - it broke in less then 2 days.

Like the title says. I really didn't get to use the watch much. Within the first 2 weeks the magnet fell out of the watch band. Skagen agreed to replace it but said it would take 4 to 8 weeks because they were out of stock in the u.s. It would have been nice if they offered to send a different band that they had in stock so I could use the watch. Oh well guess I'll go back to my wear 24.

I read a lot of positive and negative review on the Falster 2 before I pulled the trigger. The concerns on slowness, battery life, and features all stuck out, but I went for it. My impression is formed around what I wanted it for. I didn't want a fitness watch, so I save a lot of battery by turning off the heart rate feature. I didn't want six hundred process intensive features that stress the software. The Falster 2 and Wear OS do exactly what I wanted them to do. I get notifications on my watch so my phone stays in my bag unless I need to respond, I can control music while I'm in the shower, I can use it for Google Pay, and it runs some limited productivity and useful apps. I didn't need much else. I don't use it for sleep tracking, so getting 16 hours of battery is perfect for a day's use; I put it on before I leave for work and I take it off when I go to bed with about 25%-45% remaining, depending on how much I used it through the day. If you want features, get an iPhone and an Apple Watch. If you want Fitness, get a FitBit. If you want a functional and capable smartwatch that looks like a clean and professional wristwatch, the Falster 2 is the best choice.
My first watch on Android Wear was the original Motorola one. This watch really feels like an upgrade. The smaller size and round display really makes this feel much more like a timepiece rather than a piece of technology. Display is bright (but still dark in sunlight), NFC payment works, and additional UX of having the right pin turn, really helps scroll thru stuff in Wear OS. My wife and I bought matching watches for our anniversary and really love the functionality + skagen design.
I had been researching android watches for a long time and wanted to find one that was inexpensive since I didn't know if I would like it. The first day, I was a little apprehensive because it seemed to be locking up all the time but, what I realized, is that it was just taking a long time for setup. Once that was done, it has been great. I had one time where I had to reboot it because the touchscreen stopped working but I rebooted it and it has been fine since. Good watch for the money so far.
