I purchased the Falster 2 with the magnetic steel mesh band 2 months ago. I generally wear it everyday but don't wear it during CrossFit workouts. The main reason I don't wear it during workouts is due to the magnetic mesh band. Even during regular daily wear the magnetic band loosens to the point that I have to tighten it several times a day. I like to feel my watch on my wrist and don't like it flopping around. Besides the magnet not holding to the tightness you set, the second problem with the magnetic band is that if you get it on or close to anything metal it attaches to it and creates a risk of the watch coming off your wrist. Grocery shopping carts, tools, gym equipment etc. So although the mesh band is sophisticated looking, I would not recommend it. I would have preferred a standard clasp like on my conventional mesh band Skagen. I believe that Skagen should address this with its customers. We'll see if I hear from them. I will need to address the band issue if they don't assist me. Second, issue is that it doesn't make sense to me that they dedicated the upper watchface button to selecting watchface colors and you cant even change your watchface color from that button. There are several steps before that. Seems to me that there were other functions that customers would want at the push of that button rather than watch face color. Maybe if you could just change it from there it might be more desirable, but it is generally a waste of that button. In addition, relating back the magnetic band issue, when the band loosens on its own and the watch begins to rotate on your wrist, hand movements push that upper button and when you go to look at your watch the time is not showing and requires you to push the center button to bring the watch face back. Lastly, there is really no manual provided for the Skagen features other than the FAQs on this site. It took me a bit of time to figure out how to customize watch faces and other Skagen specific functions.
I recently "gave in" and bought a Skagen Falster 2 smartwatch. After a couple of weeks, I have to say that I think it is pretty average. On the "plus" side: it does look very smart and I've received a couple of compliments on it. However, the software is pretty slow and the battery life not too great at all. All in all, I don't think the watch is worth its cost.

On August 5 I bought two smartwatches of this model. one of them broke the pin that holds the strap in the first week, the other model that was a gift for my mother just broke today, the magnet on the strap has come off. Both watches have not reached the month of use. I do not advise this watch

Horrible battery life!

I love the design of this watch. However, that's where the positives end. The battery life on this watch is TERRIBLE! I put in the watch (fully charged at 100%) at 6:30am this morning. It's 1:30pm (7 hours later!!!) And my watch is completely DEAD. Unacceptable!

We're very sorry the battery life on your Falster 2 diminishes quickly throughout the day. We have reached out to you via email to further assist with this issue.
First off, if you are looking for a sleek fashion statement, this is the watch for you. The Falster 2's magnetic wrist strap was comfortable and easy to use. The dark gray metal looked amazing and was my favorite part of this smartwatch. I needed a smartwatch that could quickly update me with numerous calendar notifications throughout the day, as well as tell the time (without taking out my phone). Only minutes after turning it on, I disappointedly realized that I would have to return this beautiful watch. The Falster 2 feels slow; Like "how long does it take for my dang watch to tell the time slow". The 'raise to turn on' feature is delayed, making it extremely annoying to raise your arm, wait... then see the time pop to life on screen after a delay. The Falster 2 also would lag and get stuck when performing internal actions such as browsing through applications. I understand that there is an 'always on' feature but that is guaranteed to drain the already weak battery. Once I had linked my accounts and the watch was running, I started testing the reminders, calendar, messaging etc. I tried filling my Google calendar with test events (via my PC) and was disappointed to find that the changes weren't reflected on my watches calendar. When I would update an events description, or change the time the Falster 2 did not reflect the updates immediately. This was bothersome because the watch blew past new events that I had made 10 minutes prior, without notifying me. I am not trying to rain on the Falster 2 parade. I was genuinely excited to use this watch every day. As someone who values design and build quality, I appreciate the work that went into making the Falster 2. The slow performance, clunky software, and steep price tag made this stylish watch more of a hassle than my standard timepiece and notepad. I'd surely buy a real Skagen watch with that nifty magnetic wrist strap though!
I wanted a watch for mainly daily personal and work life organization but I also liked the heart rate monitor (I am not an avid workout junkie so althletics was not as high on my priorities list which may have been a mistake on my part). I am upset with the battery life. I can't even get through a whole workday and after work errands without it dying. I have to charge it over night to use it the next day which is disappointing because I like tracking my sleep. I ordered a silicone band so that I could test my watch during a yoga class... Between using the Google fit workout tracker and the heat of the room my watch died and wouldn't turn back on until I cooled down and had got back into my car to go home. The back plate also fell off probably due to my sweat... I am disappointed that my watch literally fell apart from an hour long yoga class... Also often when my watch would die and I would put it on the charger all my face personalization settings would undo and it would revert back to the basic face. Very annoying. And google assistant would take over 30 seconds sometimes to respond to my voice.

The watch is actually great. I really like wearos and the battery life is good. Band is unique but after 2 months of light use the magnet is popping out, causing the watch to randomly fall off, and it's not covered by warranty.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are very sorry to hear this has happened to your Falster 2. A representative has reached out to you for further assistance.
For a long time I have wanted a Google Wear watch that was also a good watch. I have found it with the Falster 2. Battery life is sufficient even with always on display. My only complaint is that text messages on the watch are often cut off and I have to switch to my phone to read them.
