You must activate with an Iphone

You can’t just buy the watch and activate it as a standalone line and device, you have to activate an iPhone towards it, so if you get the watch for your children, you have to activate a new iPhone against it in order for them to communicate with just the watch, even then you have to have the phone near the watch, the cellular version of this watch is a dumb and primitive concept right now, maybe in the future it can be a stand-alone device

Very impressed so far my wife and daughter have had their’s for 3and four years. While in the mean time I have gone through 3 fit bits during the same time frame. Should have changed much earlier. Great product! The only thing I wish it would do in comparison is track your sleep. Other than that I am absolutely impressed.
