Lots of Promise

I bought this laptop after doing a lot of research. I spent about a week narrowing down models that worked with my list of must haves from a laptop.
- lightweight
- touchscreen
- multiple USB ports
- SSD
- min 8 GB RAM for light gaming

As far as being a touchscreen convertible laptop, this one has it cinched up. The battery life isn't the best of any laptop I have had, but with proper monitoring you can get the advertised 8 hours from it without issue. It's snappy, clear and I think the sound is pretty good. Unless you're buying a gaming laptop or strictly media laptop, you would be hard pressed to get better sound. I would rate this the best for its class.
I did however get the blue screen of death within the first couple weeks of owning the AMD version. I thought maybe a process I was running caused the fatal error, but was leery given that I just spend $1000 on a laptop and it happened two weeks in. The second time it happened, the only program open was chrome. I immediately called for a refund.
After a whole rigmarole with lenovo, I have purchased the intel version of this laptop which does not seem to encounter the same processing error given the reviews I have read.
It feels well made, looks slick and has a lot of features, but it doesn't seem like the CPU from AMD is really up to the task.
Had a lot of promise and I hope that the intel works out because it really is a great looking machine with lots of promise. Ticked off all my boxes and the closest comparable model starts at nearly $500 more.
Wish I could love it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this laptop because of a promotional discount offer I got through my employer. This was my first one and I like it but the display is quite dim and I could not figure put how to change this. I suppose this is just how it is with the lenova flex 14. Good solid laptop otherwise.

Best general purpose notebook computer I've ever owned. In addition to the new AMD Ryzen processor, it sports a 256GB SSD. Will never own a computer with an HD again! The speed of the SSD is amazing compared to an HD. Boot-up time is blazing fast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far it is responsive and I tried to download DOTA 2 & Mobile legends with it and it works good but there is a bit lagging maybe because those are really heavy games. But all in all I like it and it is really recommended.
