Terrible laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Horrible value, the screen getting damaged from just opening the laptop is down right inexcusable. I would of returned this laptop immediately if i could of I completely regret purchasing it. the trackpad is horrendous as well.

I bought this laptop for my everyday work, and I'm very happy. Active pen works nice, image quality is pretty decent and is really fast. Some issues with graphic card but the update fix it. The ryzen processor and the integrated vega 8 performance surpricely well. AMD mobile is very promising.

This is the perfect size. It has some must have features for me. Touch screen, back lit keyboard, SSD, USB C, HDMI and a pen. The overall performance is great for this price point. The AMD Ryzen seems perfectly fit for this laptop. It supports virtual machines and I have one installed and it runs flawlessly. I also upgraded to Win 10 Pro. I have not come across anything that this can't handle yet, thought I am not a gamer. I think this is a great value and I am very happy with my purchase, even with the issues below. There is no perfect laptop.
The down sides:
* Heavier than expected
* The SD card sticks almost all the way out when fully inserted- very poor design here. Makes it impossible to use for extra "always there" storage.
* The entire power brick plugs into the wall. Meaning the prongs for the plug are on the power brick making this only work in a wide open outlet. Another poor design choice. I added a 1 foot extension cord to make this usable.
* The power button sticks out on the right side instead of being recessed somewhere. This causes you to inadvertently turn off the laptop just by picking it up or moving it. Another REALLY POOR design choice.

I really like the Flex! I bought a 14" model with the Ryzen 5 processor and 8 GB RAM. I really enjoy the light weight of this machine, and I'm still quite happy with the computing power present. The touch screen is less bothersome then I worried it might be.
I really wish that the charger was 1)not so bulky on the plug end and 2) Type C USB or magnet style. The charging seems quite outdated to me, but thats typically not a huge issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The worst laptop you can get from Lenovo. Do NOT buy this AMD processor, my original and replacement Flex 14 both gave me a "Video Scheduler Error" after a day of using them. This is a hardware issue, and this shouldn't be happening right out the box. Save your money and don't buy this.

Great laptop but Lenovo misses on the details

I bought this laptop last week and was very excited about it. As a standalone laptop everything works great. I wanted to set it up with two monitors though and have the internet hard wired sometimes so I bought a hub/dock branded by Lenovo for $80 more. Before I bought the laptop I checked to make sure the connections were compatible and since the laptop has usb c it looked like it would work. None of lenovo's materials (i spent hours researching) said otherwise. Well this dock isn't lenovo's. They just license the name to some unrecognizable company. It doesnt work. The flex has a usb 3.0 port and I would need 3.1. So the monitors dont work through the hub and I can't get a wired internet connection. Also I cant power the laptop with this usb c connection. It was a huge bummer for us because we had to modify our entire setup because the info available for this laptop was missing an important detail, lenovo should have added a 3.1 port instead and the shouldn't use random companies sell stuff using their name as if I'm buying genuine lenovo products. Great laptop but very disappointed!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
