Takes forever to charge

After procuring the unit I found out it takes 32 hours of direct sunlight generating the max 10W output to charge the internal battery!
Charging Time (hours) = Battery Capacity (mAh) / Charger Output (Watts).
For a 10-watt charger, the estimated charging time for a 3200 mAh battery is approximately 32 hours.
This is not realistic.

I got the Solar 10+ for my birthday and couldn’t wait to get it camping. I used it to recharge the battery on my BioLite Fire pit during the day. Charged the battery with no problem along with my cell phone too. It’s an awesome addition to my camping gear.

This is a really nice made solar panel I put it outside when I got it worked perfectly nice compact but I think I will buy the bigger one soon or another one like this for my wife.

Overheats

This solar panel overheats after being in direct sunlight for about 10 minutes. I have tried many different techniques, the only way I can get the panel no not overheat is to put a damp cold cloth over the battery storage area and on the backside of the panel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

LOVE THIS THING!!!! I use it pretty much everyday and always when traveling. Only drawback is it is a bit heat sensitive - when it is sunlight, in temperatures of over 85-90, it will overheat in about and hour or two (which is an issue in Phoenix, April - October).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great solar panel! Passive power generation is amazing!

I recently used this solar panel to power my camp in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. I was using the BaseLantern XL to store the power generated from the SolarPanel 10+ and this combo completely out performed my expectations. I was actually generating more power than I knew what to do with! I would charge the lantern with the solar panel during the day while the sun was out and once that was full I would recharge our other devices. To my surprise the panel was able to keep everything charged and the lantern was only used for camp lighting.
The panel is incredibly easy to use thanks to the sundial and it's just as durable as BioLite's other products. I would highly recommend this panel if you are interested in personal solar power, you won't regret it!

Great little solar panel

We were really impressed with the quality of this solar panel, how easy it is to use, and how portable / storable it is. They thought of everything, it even had a small sundial to get the most out of the sunlight possible. The battery lasts well into the night when used to power all of our biolite camplites (9 total), giving us everything we need in one package. Very recommended !!
