We purchased this freezer about 6 weeks ago. We like the size of this unit, as it is large enough for a small family. I also like the power light on the unit.

Frost is accumulating on the walls even though we rarely open the freezer and it is located in the basement. Otherwise it seems fine.

Hello. We thank you for supporting the Hotpoint family with your recent purchase of this chest freezer. It is not uncommon for frost to accumulate on interior walls. For best operation the freezer should be defrosted when the frost accumulation becomes 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. This frost can also come from adding a lot of items not yet frozen to the chest freezer. Nice freezer

We bought this a few months ago for our garage as an addition to our garage ref/freezer combo. It is a perfect size and holds more than I thought. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it had a light inside to see better. I'm sure there are models that come with a light, but at the time we needed it, freezers were hard to come by.

Bought this a few months ago, it’s a great size for a small family. Within 2 hours of plugging it in it was already freezing! I like that the defrosting plug is in the front as swell as the controls. Another feature I like is the motor in the back is covered with a great, making it inaccessible to for my two very curious cats. If you’re looking for a good freezer with a good price this is it.
