Write Speed Bottleneck

I just purchase this drive. First I did is to check data transfer speeds . Write speed is 80 MB/s Read speed is 290 MB/s So 300 MB/s is actual read speed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Went Quietly Into The Night

i kept this drive in the usb port of my computer for about two months. the drive was left in the usb port as suggested in the boilerplate. media was bitlocker encrypted. after tow months of occasional use (maybe once a week), the drive reports "no media". all attempts to access the drive have failed - on several different pc's. it looks like the controller chip cannot talk to the nand memory chip. as a result, i have a working usb flash drive with no storage memory. for all of this drives supposed physical durability, it sure failed quickly and quietly. waterproof? x-ray proof? how about able to withstand normal use. good thing it's waterproof, because it's going in the toilet! do not trust your data to this device!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Data loss potential Mac-Disk Not Ejected Properly

Cannot use Samsung FIT Plus as intended on a Macbook Pro.
Samsung markets FIT Plus as being so small that you can leave it in your computer's USB port as if it is permanent, additional storage for your computer.
When Macbook Pro sleeps FIT Plus is improperly disconnected.
On waking from sleep, the OS warns that the FIT Plus was not ejected properly. This can result in data loss.

Very low write speeds

there is a reason the don't include the write speed in the specs- its 50mb/s. i've tried every port and originating drive on my computer and it maxes out at 50mb/s. it takes 42 minutes to fill this drive from an nvme. had i known that, i wouldn't have purchased it, but its too cheap to be worth returning. otherwise, the size is great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Awesome Slim device! very portables

I wanted to add storage space to my new samsung notebook pro 9, but I was looking for a slop device that I would not have to carry with me in an external pocket. The storage device can be left inserted in the laptop wich is great because its so small you wouldnt want to remove/insert the device multiple times.
