Extremely slow

copying files at 2mb, not even close to 400mbs claimed. external hdd (hdd!!!! not sdd) are few time faster on the same files.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked great, until it didn't

this product worked great for a couple years, then one day the transfer rate got horrible, and the next time i plugged it in, it caused my computer to lock up due to endlessly trying to load the drive. the drive also began getting very hot when plugged in; good thing i had the files backed up elsewhere!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
