everything is awesome except for ambient mode

ambient mode sucks to be honest they need a better color recognition system it would be awesome if they had a sensor or module that came with the tv that could accurately detect the color
also there needs to be the option to select your own photos for ambient mode
also i wish they had an android tv app and more apps

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the new Samsung Q900.
Please know that the Ambient Mode does allow you to upload your personal photos, decorative art, useful info (weather, headline news, etc.) or other content you may wish to display.
For complete instructions on Ambient Mode setup and changing displayed content, please refer to pages 61-62 of the Online User Manual: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201809/20180927112738059/ENG_US_KM2ATSCN-3.0.2.pdf
I am sorry that you are not completely happy with Ambient Mode’s color reproduction. If you are trying to have Ambient Mode mimic your wall, please know that the Q900 does so based on a photo of your wall that you will need to take using the SmartThings app on your mobile device, and then setting that photo as your background in Ambient Mode. Accuracy will therefore depend on the lighting conditions/time of day under which you took your photo and lighting conditions/time of day during which you are displaying the Ambient Mode background. Please also know that background feature accuracy may vary depending on wall designs, patterns, and/or colors.
The Samsung Smart Hub offers a large collection of popular apps ranging from entertainment, fashion, sports, weather, games, streaming, VOD, kids, and much more.
To search for a particular app, please follow these instructions:
1. Press Home button on the remote to access the Home Screen
2. Select “Apps”
3. Scroll up to the top right corner and select the Search icon (magnifying glass)
4. Use the onscreen keypad to enter the name of the app you need to find. The TV will display suggestions based on what you enter.
5. Scroll up to the app name from the displayed list and select the app.
6. You may need to first install the app if it wasn’t installed by default for you (some apps require login to your Samsung account to be able to install)
7. The app will now be available in the “Recent” list when you select apps from the Home screen
8. You can add the app to the Home screen by selecting the app and pressing the up arrow then selecting “Add to Home”
Please refer to the Online User Manual, pages 63-66, for full setup and installation instructions.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Samsung’s 8K TV is absolutely incredible! I witnessed it for the first time tonight & was honestly blown away. The image brightness, clarity and detail is unlike any I’ve ever seen. The ambient mode is like something you’d see in Star Trek or a sci-fi film. The tv is able to match its surroundings & cloak itself. It looks almost ghostly, translucent. What an incredible piece of technology. Great design aspect too, with frames in a variety of colors/materials. This is where interior design & technology meet. There’s even an option to display custom artwork & photos. Space saving, beautiful & cutting edge. Simply wow!
