I couldn’t detect any visual or performance issues for this refurbished unit. Very nice sound for small unit. Time keeping for it’s size is quite accurate..One complaint: the clock light is not dimmable. Otherwise I would have given 5 Stars. T

I love everything about the Model Three BT - the analog clock, elegant design, USB connection and Bluetooth functionality and I'd give it 5 stars if the bass and treble were adjustable. There's too much bass for my ear which is fine for music but makes speech hard to understand. I bought it largely for the radio so unfortunately that doesn't work for me.

Overall a good clock radio. Two things that would make this better:A tone control, it’s a little muffled at low volumeA 24 alarm setting so you don’t have to set it every dayOtherwise, pretty good

Most Geniuses are a bit Quirky

Love the MTBT and it will grow on you. Initially was in awe, then amused, then annoyed, and now in a good spot. Going to keep it.Plus Side:- Design and asthetic appeal - did not know that the great Henry Kloss designed it.- Sound is amazing - but have no note that all of the FM stations have a similar "sound" probably due to the speaker and same as any radio. Wonder if the top mount speaker (vs front mount on the non-clock models) has any affect here- Craftsmanship - not just the wood veneer. Take a look at the descriptions on the back panel. There is a straight line drawn to each referenced spot from a place where there's enough room to fully describe the use (no shortcuts here.) Look closer at that simple line - it's etched! Wow.- Tuning Ability. the MTBT pulls in easily all of the low-number PBS stations that that put out enough wattage - I can hear Chicago's famous WFMT effortlessly. My old Boston Acoustics RECEPTOR model radio could not do this - not even with an external Terk antenna. And I don't even need to raise the supplied external FM antenna (a real antenna, not a limp wire to drape over the lampshade.Realities:- The Alarm is not the strong point. It tells you that given the analog nature, the alarm setting can be off a few minutes and to try it a few mornings to perfect it. Yes I can do that but when I have to change the alarm to wake up a bit earlier the next day and think I set it or 6 and it doesn't go off till 615 - yikes. A few times I have even not woken up using the radio only as it was too soothing and it does not default to the signal alarm, or to an increasing volume, unlike my old BAR. - There are no saved stations. So you have to remember the general dial # (not the call letters) if you listen to more than one favorite - and then repeat the fine tuning process (made easier by the yellow signal strength light - just go with that even if it peaks a bit off from what you know the exact station # to be - remember it's analog.- The alarm doesn't have AM and PM. So if you set 6 - it goes off 6 AM and PM. So when you turn off the alarm in the morning - better remember to set it again before bedtime (a simple button,).- The sleep function is wonderful, but only 20 minutes. I can't turn the radio on if the sleep button is light green. Turn that off and turn the radio on and then turn the sleep button on.- The night light is brighter than expected but soothing and think of it as a bedside nightlight when you have to get up in the middle of the night. The music is beautiful and the face is beautiful when all lit up - green lights on for radio-on, alarm set, sleep timer counting down, and the yellow bulb lit for achieving maximum reception. The analog clock face slowly glowing. If you absolutely must get up at an exact time (eg early morning airport), just use your iPhone as the alarm (and you can even charge it overnight plugged in to the USB port on the MTBT).You'll own a classic, quirks and all. Enjoy the love affair.

Please add to the snooze feature an accumulation of snooze time - for instance (3) pushes get me an additional thirty minutes of sleep or more...

Attractive and excellent functionality

I was browsing around for a new clock radio for more than one year and finally I purchased Tivoli's Model Three BT. It is very attractive yet unobtrusive. The analog clock is actually nice to look at after so many years of green/yellow digital clock displays. The functionality of the radio is excellent: the tuning dial is precise and the sound is amazing. I feel like the unit is almost European in styling and programming, but that's a good thing. I am pleased with my purchase and I recommend it to you as well.

I love the look and size of this radio. Retro look with modern features. Speaker quality is the only reason I didn’t give five stars.

Great look. Great sound. Light is way too bright!

It’s unfortunate that there is no dimmer switch on this little radio. Purchased it for a bedroom clock radio, but the light is so bright you could use it to land a plane at night. For this price, it’s an overlooked design flaw. Like the look. Like the sound. Love the little retro face dial. But with this bright light, it’s simply useless as a bedroom clock radio.
