Cushion Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Quiet Comfort 3 headphones years and years ago and only use them about every 3 months for flights overseas. Recently the black rubbery surface on the cushions began flaking off. As per other reviews, appears this is a common occurrence even with their replacement cushions so apparently they haven't solved the issue. Seems to me to be an incorrect selection of materials or manufacturing defect. I will go ahead and buy a replacement set anyway as is rather embarrassing having black rubber specs on my ears when I exit the plane. I will report back if the replacement cushions immediately start to flake.

Replacement ear cushions degraded fast

My original set lasted for years before the surface started flaking off, but while I was glad that Bose offered replacements, the surface on these started flaking off without much use ...

I purchased this headphones and only used for work then was told I can’t use them for work. So I place them in my draw at home. Thought it was safe but went to use them and the black rubbery surface on the cushions began flaking All off. And the replacement cost how much really.

Comfort 3 Ear Cushions

I have an older model but the sound and comfort is beyond words. I don't need to replace my unit as it is a very sturdy and with good care, I believe they will last a lifetime. If you ask why am I replacing the headphones cushion well it's because I go everywhere with my headset and they took a little beating. However the sound remains the same!!

Ear Cushions breaking open at the seams

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an owner of a Noise canceling unit (CC-15) I only use it when I am traveling, During my last trip I noticed that the seams on my unit were splitting, the interior sponge is exposed on one of the head units. I never noticed before but I must have been an improperly sealed seam.
