Great headset, complicated set up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Turtle Beaches and have been using them since the Xbox 360 era. So I jumped on the chance to get the Elite Pro 2 headset with the SuperAmp Controller. The first thing that you need to know is to download the app for this. The headset itself is pretty good but gets better when you change the audio settings via the app. The app is on both android and Iphone and also available via PC. Also make sure that the Amp is update to the right firmware. This is done via the PC app and connecting the Amp via Bluetooth to your PC.
The headphones, them self, are really comfortable. I was able to wear them for long sessions without my ears hurting. My ears also didn't get hot while wearing them. They are a lot heavier then what I am use too but that's because these are made with metal instead of plastic like the cheaper models. If I was just reviewing the headset, I would give it 5 out of 5. However I still have to go over the Amp.
The thing about this bundle is that it is marketed towards streamers, which is fine but not everyone buying them is a streamer and this is were I ran into trouble. The app gives the user a lot of options in terms of audio control, which is great if you can figure out what is actually changing. I spent about two days adjusting volumes and trying to figure out what just got lowered or higher. Some of it I figured out but some of it I didn't. I had to consult youtube videos to figure the rest out. Sadly because of the amp the headset dosen't plug into the controller, which means you miss out on using the Xbox headset adapter. I miss this option the most. Before I could mute myself with a push of a button, now I have to fumble around looking for the mute button on the wire. If I wanted to adjust chat volume higher than game volume I could just push a button to do that or if I wanted to mute game volume for a minute, it was all on the adapter. Now if I wanted to do that, I have to bring up my phone, unlock it, bring up the app and find the setting for game or chat. It's not really user friendly in that sense. The last thing that bothers me is the wire. The wire is long and gets in the way a lot, plus it takes a port to use on the Xbox which means you have to chose which port you lose. For anyone with a external hard drive, kinect and a charging cable, your losing one of them. I was going to test out how the headset works with a port extender but it hasn't arrived yet.
Over all, its a great duo if you know what your doing. If your not a streamer and want these, you need to do your homework. I am hoping that there are some improvements made to the app and maybe Turtle Beach can make a guide for dummies that can help people like me.

My favorite feature is the Superhuman hearing. I really feel like it brings games and the scenarios I am watching to life. Great product.

One feature I enjoyed was being able to hook my phone up through this. If someone calls i can easily answer the phone. Since i have been using these, I have not encountered any problems. I can't wait to play some more on my PS4.

Great sound quality, but bulky
