Great sound, but never updated so Cast is unusable

I bought this to improve the sound quality of Google Cast. But the cast software has never been updated and is no longer compatible with Google Cast. It's just an expensive Bluetooth speaker now.
Please update the Cast firmware!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall I liked the product, it was quick to repond to commands and it looks nice. I could do everything I wanted with it and had plenty of volume. But there is only one speaker in it even though it looks omnidirectional/has more than one, and you can't press the buttons to increase/decrease the volume of the speakers without it telling you the mic is muted if you've muted it, which is incredibly annoying.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Expensive Paperweight

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was an excellent speaker, which has now suddenly stopped working, as you can see in other recent reviews.
After contacting support I have been told the following:
"I've checked on our resources and found that the WK7 speaker is indeed included on the models that has connection with google assistant, and for this one since Google ended their contract with us, it is not accessible anymore."
So, unless LG renew their contract, looks like these speakers will no longer work, ever again. A hugely frustrating situation to be in with an item suddenly not having the functionality it was sold with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product listens pretty well, and can generally hear you from a decent distance but not needing to be that loud. I wasnt a huge fan of my music cutting out when i asked it a question...or even "hey google, volume down" doesnt need to stop playing alltogether. i think it would be good for the music to fade softly into the background but continue playing unless i told google to pause it specifically. Otherwise I had no issues connecting it or using any of the functions

Loved this speak but after spending money on 2 of these I can no longer connect to Google and the device is now unusable. Disgusting and I won’t be buying lg products again

Speaker That Sounds and Looks Cool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought WK7 LG ThinQ® Speaker with Google Assistant Built-In is a good speaker. I really enjoy the Google Home assistant. I did have a little problem setting it up out of the box. I also wish I could use this speaker as a speaker for plug in devices, I think that would be really cool. The sound was good and the device looks nice and sleek.
