Features are good but.

The features of this fridge are good ones to have but i am disappointed in some of the choices the company made. First is that the doors don’t open all the way and stick out which means it cannot go near a wall on the sides and has to be in the middle. the chipped consumables are disappointing to see in a high end fridge. the precision water unit is far from precise and has no way to calibrate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks good but poor operation

We bought this fridge and within a couple months, stopped cooling. Found out the compressor was bad. GE replaced the fridge which was good. Now the coffee maker very seldom works. First, on the first heat of the water it seems to boil then leaks all over the place. Then randomly we get hot water dispenser disabled. Then also, the plumnger thing that goes inside the coffee pod does not go down all the way then goes Hot water dispenser disabled. Also, it is impossible to get the thing connected to the internet. Goes through the steps and can't find the fridge in the cloud and fails. And its of course out of warranty.
Would not recommend this fridge to anyone. Never seen anything with so many problems for the cost.

I have had this fridge for a few weeks. Love the Keurig in door. the only issue I've seen is that the internal temperature reads lower than it actually is. Does not keep liquids cold enough for our liking.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Beautiful Appliance

We replaced all of our kitchen appliances this past summer and selected Cafe for a handful of reasons. Added the gold handled and all the extras. Our microwave and oven have worked fine, but the dishwasher and refrigerator have already been replaced due to a few defects. The most disappointing experience was with our dealer in Chicago, Grand Appliance. GE technicians have been terrific. We purchased the Keurig feature on the refrigerator and I think we are going to regret it. The first refrigerator had to be replaced due to the malfunctioning water heater and the process to get a cup of coffee, which works on the new refrigerator is a two step process. You have to heat the water then come back to the refrigerator to turn the water on. It doesn't heat and brew all in one act. Also, it will only brew up to 10 ounces of hot water, which requires that I brew two cups for one of my larger coffee cups. The refrigerator itself is beautiful and the LED lighting, spotlighting the items in the fridge is great. The new dishwasher works great and the stove/microwave work well.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this fridge for about a month, and I've had GE fridges before, so I was kind of expecting a little more richness to the features. This fridge almost appears to be GE's first attempt at a refrigerator. Here are my thoughts:
1) There's no actual temperature of the fridge & freezer. You can set the temperature set points, but there's no indication of the actual temperatures in those areas. I have a cheaper GE fridge and it shows both the set points and actual temperatures in each compartment. This can be quite useful in recognizing a performance failure.
2) The maximum coffee brew is 10oz. You have a choice between 6, 8 or 10oz. Not many people in America drink 10oz coffees. Maybe some petite woman in a Parisian cafe, but most people in the States drink probably a small at 12oz, and mostly 20oz. I use a fillable KCup and have to run it twice to get my 20oz coffee in the morning. It's not a bad feature actually, it's just surprising that they limited themselves to a maximum coffee of 10oz.
3) While using the water dispenser, the display shows the current volume of water dispensed. That is nice, but as soon as you let off of the trigger the volume display goes away. It would be nice if the dispensed volume persisted for 3 - 5 seconds after releasing the trigger, to confirm how much volume was dispensed.
4) When using the Precise Fill feature, you set up how much water you'd like dispensed, then you're required to hold the vessel against the trigger to dispense the water. This seems a little self-defeating. It would be nice to set up the amount of water to be dispensed, push the trigger once to initiate the dispensing, then be able to walk away while the water is being dispensed so one could attend to other things in the kitchen.
These appear to me to be solvable simply thru a software upgrade. It would be nice if the Engineers at GE would consider upgrading these features.
