There has been mixed reviews about Swann products but I've got to say that it was very easy to install and connect. It also works very well but you do need a good wifi connection. If you want to put the cables through the wall, the hole is pretty large (25 mm drill in my case). So far so good. The notifications work well on my Iphone and the video quality is great. The App is not the best but realistically, I donlt know of any Apps that work well 100% of the time. Hopefully, they will last several years and not stop function after the 1 year warranty runs out!

Great for the most part... but no instructions or information on using the supplied ethernet cable...

No instructions can be found in the box, on Swann's website, or on the internet, about how the camera works using the supplied ethernet cable. When I plug the ethernet cable into my router, the iPhone app can't locate the camera (yes, the other end of the ethernet cable is plugged into the camera...) Also, Swann should have a program, or a website that you can sign into, to view the camera on a desktop PC.
Other than that, the cameras are very clear when using the app. You can't pan or zoom the camera, as it's mounted to the base which screws into the wall.
I would recommend this to a friend!

For this reason, the package will not include instructions on how to hardwire. For further assistance, we would recommend that you speak with our support team if you have not already.

There are three ambilacal cords coming from the camera which are to short. Network connection(if used direct toa router), reset button and power. If you install these through a wall you cant get to the reset button. The wifi stregth is showign between 91-100% on the cameras. You still cant view live pictures some times. But they are at a price point that you might expect a view glitches.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very happy with this purchase but just one little thing, I thought the wires from the camera could have been a bit longer to go through the wall as I wanted to position one of these cameras where I had a previous one with the hole already drilled but the wires wouldn't go all the way through other than that these are great cameras, we are using them wireless.
The cameras are superb I have 5 of these cameras and the installation was easy, the pairing was easy and the set up easy. Quality is very goid and the night vision is excellent very happy with the purchase
Could not connect the camera to the Wi-Fi signal I did everything right still didn't work I should've read the reviews before I purchased this camera I would not recommend any Swann products

The Wi-Fi range can be up to 65ft / 20m but the Wi-Fi signal can be reduced by many things around the home. Take into consideration the number of walls the Wi-Fi signal must pass through and their construction. The more solid the building material or the more metal the signal must pass through the more impact it has on the Wi-Fi signal. Also, take note of electrical equipment and other appliances that may affect the Wi-Fi signal. Some experimentation with locations may be required to get the optimal signal, check the signal strength in the app to give you a guide on the most suitable placement options.

Migration is a total failure!

We have 9 of these installed on two homes. Attempted the migration on May 23. Two cameras migrated to the new app. The other 7 have been hung up in the migration portal since May 23. Have made weekly calls in an attempt to get them migrated and operating, all to no avail. The video in the new app is very jerky and mediocre at best. The worked excellent sine December 2018. Now, we are shopping for new systems, and guarantee they won’t be Swann. Poor poor support.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
