Never worked properly- DO NOT BUY

I’ve had nothing but problems since I’ve gotten this dishwasher. It’s 2 years old, has been repaired 3 times (twice had the door changed completely due to leaking water all over my floor and once changed the motor) and I am STILL having issues with it!! It still leaks water, and the other day I had to pull it out because it was leaking YET AGAIN, and I noticed water coming from the pump!! I have only ever gently used this dishwasher, I ran it at most 2-3 times a week. I am VERY frustrated with this GE product and would NEVER recommend it to anyone. I have to get a new dishwasher and it won’t be a GE product. I have bought other Cafe series products (my stove and fridge) and I love them but I cannot day the same for this piece of garbage dishwasher.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s already broken

I have had a kitchen full of GE Café appliances for about two months now. I am unimpressed and regretting my (expensive!) purchase. The dishwasher is the latest breakdown. The display has failed and the part is on backorder for another month. I guess this is one way to push the sale of the extended warranty.

Terrible wash

If you like to wash your dishes after they emerge from the dishwasher, this is the model for you! After two years of using this product, I’ve found that the quality of the wash has deteriorated to the point that now I can’t have even a speck of food on any of the dishes or glasses for the unit to return dirty, filmy dishes. I’ve reset the controls twice.

Noisier than CAFE series replaced

Unit is much noisier than the 4 year old lesser model CAFE series we replaced.
Prefer the older style 3rd rack on top.
Does not dry as well as older CAFE series.

I had a 2 year old Whirlpool Dishwasher that just would not clean silverware, plates, or glasses. Prewashing and drying were manual requirements of every load. So I went big with Cafe’. Best decision in appliances I have ever made. Quiet, great cleaning, flexible load, 3rd rack, bottle jets, even drys plastic bins. Highly recommended.

Cafe dishwasher: the good and the not so good

Mechanically, I have not had any problems with this dishwasher, although it seems "small" compared to the old dishwasher. Not sure why, but it seems like it. Also, the stainless steel is extremely difficult to keep clean/looking good. Water spots everywhere.
