Great Performance

Easy to use, good high and low heat control. The burners discolor easily, but if you cook as much as I do, it is expected.

EXCELLENT COOKING RANGE

The GE Cafe 36 inch is the right size for a small family that has frequent dinner guests allowing for ample burners for timely meal preparations under both circumstances. The flames are easily adjusted to control temperatures and the plates can be easily removed for cleaning. The pan underneath catches any spills for small and large miscalculations by chefs. We highly recommend the purchase on that alone and the design is a much appreciated feature for any serious kitchen.

Nice gas cooktop

I just moved into a new home and it came with a Cafe Cooktop. I like it and it is easy to clean. The downside is it doent have a small burner for small pans.

Great cooktop, except for burners too large

I'm pretty happy with our new Cafe cooktop. Except for one glaring issue: all six burners put out a flame about 5 inches around, which is too large for many smaller pots and pans. Small pots less than about 6 inches are useless and the flames send heat up the sides of even medium-sized pots. Even our large LeCreuset kettle barely catches the heat and the handle ends up getting extremely hot.
GE would have been much smarter to at least make one of two of the burners much smaller.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

fair performance

for the price unit performance is ok gas run hot and you can adjust . The only thing I do not like is the cleaning, Every time you cook the splatter is everywhere and the gunk sticks to the bottom of the stove and I had to take steel wool to remove it what a mess.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No great features

This cooktop is the hardest appliance to clean. The base of the cooktop is terrible when cooking splatter it everywhere I had to use steel wool to clean the surface but with all my elbow grease it still did not come clean terrible quailty
