Easy Setup, Beautiful Design

Setup was quick and easy through Home Depot's delivery service. The control panel is intuitive and "sings" to me during the process. The grates are sturdy and attractive. I found the preheating to be about twice as fast as my previous oven... and it even tells you the temperature as it approaches the one you've selected. The temperature probe looks to be high quality but I haven't used it yet. The installer recommended running both ovens at 400F for an hour to get rid of manufacturing fumes... make sure you turn on your vents or central air! I can't wait to get a pizza in there and try it out!

I read hundreds of reviews and spent hours doing research on the Cafe double oven and all the competitors in this similar price point. After all the due diligence I decided on the GE. It took quite a while to arrive however it has been worth the wait. The oven enhances the look of my kitchen and is a huge upgrade over my previous oven. No complaints so far. I've verified oven temperatures and they are exact, no need to calibrate. I'm a very diligent buyer and it looks like I made the right choice. The CAFE is a little pricier than the Profile, however if the look is important to you this is worth the extra $$$$.

Pretty, but flawed

The appliance is quite powerful and puts out a lot of heat. The rangetop is one flat panel so splatter and spills spread easily. I clean with a specialty cleaner followed by soap and water, but I've noticed that if you leave even a small spill of water for too long that it can etch into the enamel finish. To clean the rangetop you must remove all three grates. The grates are light and easy enough to handle, but I question their construction. I suspect the grates could break if banged against the counter or each other. The surface of the grates is rough and cleaning sponges and rags snag easily on it. The enamel on the rangetop is also easily chipped, so use caution not to drop or hit anything against the edges and corners. Upgrading to a double-oven was a big reason why I purchased this stove. I haven't used both at once many times in the past six months, but anticipate I will do so more over the holidays. What I've observed about the ovens so far is that you need to carefully plan and monitor cook times and temperatures. Both ovens take anywhere between 15-25 minutes longer than the preheat indicator says to reach temperature. I had to purchase two glass thermometers just to know what temperatures I was actually dealing with. It is also important to consider what foods (height, density) will cook best in the different interior cavities. Like any oven, this has hotspots that I'm still figuring out. I just wish that 6 months in I had a better handle on how it was going to perform. It's a bit inconsistent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this Range but the grates are a little weak

I have had this Range for exactly 1 month, I love it the oven features. I use my top oven almost every day and love it. Unfortunately grate broke in 2 places. While it doesn't affect the use it feels flimsy. Disappointed that the cast iron isn't stronger. I have contacted the store in which I purchased it from to see if I can get a replacement cost free since I have had this for a month. We shall see what Cafe will do for its customers.

Good oven

Good looking and working oven with fast preheat and good temperature control within both ovens. Hobs are good but disappointed to have to pay replace the skillet feature. Electrical whine noise during function which is also a small disappointment but does not impact the overall working

This stove is gorgeous in my kitchen and has all the features we could ever want. Even the knobs feel high quality when you turn them. The ovens heat up fast. We can’t wait to purchase the other pieces in this line.
