I just had this installed today, looks great, but do you have a trim kit in the white matte to cover the gap from the ceiling?

Sleek and Clean

I didn’t originally select this hood vent. I received due to back order of the original selected hood vent when building my house. I didn’t like it at first….seemed too modern for my taste. However since having I think it’s beautiful and love the design and lighting. Only bad side after a month a light bulb burnt out. Also the fan makes a noise only when on Lo—however could have something to do with installation. I have to say—this is bar far the most quite hood vent I have ever had in a home.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Looks pretty but loud and not really effective

Glass looks really pretty but not functional from a cleaning perspective. Installation by new home builder which said GE PRO install all their own appliances was really generic. It was installed REALLY high which reduces suction and easy usage. Also installed glass above side shelves??? Installer should have questioned if it was correct? Now grouted into backsplash. Also quite loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For a proper installation, the hood should be a maximum of 36" from the cooktop surface. It is also designed to be installed with no cabinets above. Loud or unusual sounds may have occurred if the improper ducting has been used during installation. This hood requires 6” ducting to perform optimally. Using smaller duct pipe will cause reduced venting. Be sure that you minimize the duct run length and number of transitions and elbows.

Been giving us problems

We moved into a newly constructed home with brand new cafe appliances. Unfortunately, the fan in this chimney hood makes loud noise only when on Medium and the left light constantly stops working on us. A little disappointing given the appliances were brand new. The builder has had people look at it multiple times, I’m assuming the guys worked for cafe appliances but the problem persists. We love cafe products and hoping you can help us resolve this. Thanks

2 werks working, then off!

Placement of Duct Hole

Hello, We have selected the venthood for our new home and have a question on the placement of duct hole. In the instruction manual it says the model is vertical duct, will there be any performance reduction because the duct hole is on the wall, meaning the duct will take a 90 degree turn while venting out.
There is no need for return air as City threshold is 400CFM. Appreciate your response.

Not very efficient

It works, but not very efficiently. The smell of cooking is noticeable in the entire house even if this equipment is turned on on maximum.
