Not happy with the product

I got this less than a year back and I already see that wording letters near the mobs have disappeared.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Better Features

I had a model very similar to this one and by far I like this one better. It seems they have changed the child proof control where it turns the gas off instead of a loud buzzing noise like before. Also the grates are a little lighter and seems to be lower to the gas flame which I like because now it cooks hotter and faster. The older model grates were higher above the flame.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this cooktop installed since mid February and it looks absolutely beautiful and does a great job. It is difficult to keep clean but I was prepared for that and I don't think the ideal surface material has been created yet. My disappointment is in the knobs, they look so beautiful and I really thought they were brushed stainless but it seems that they are just coated with something that looks like a brushed stainless steel finish and two of the knob are already peeling. The strange thing is that they are the two center knobs which are not used as much as others and the cooktop was installed on Feb. 16, 2021. So disappointing. They are sending me new knobs for the ones that have peeled but if this keeps happening, after my first year is up, I will paying for the knobs myself. I would buy a better quality knob if it were available but I was not told no other knobs are available.

Great cooktop

All five burners are on at the same time every Saturday. No crowding of pots and pans. Great for cooking different food simultaneously.

Cafe Cooktop - LOVE IT!!!!

We bought the entire GE CAFE all glass front appliances. We love them. They’re very contemporary, sleek lines and do not show fingerprints. The stove top grates are extra heavy duty and taller than our previous GE PROFILE appliances. The knobs light up when burner is lit. The dishwasher is the quietest one I’ve ever owned. We also have the 5-in-one microwave and are amazed as the options it offers. Love love love our new GE CAFE appliances.

Heavy duty, versatile, spacious

Our stove was installed a couple weeks ago and I L.O.V.E. love it! I can put a 12-inch pan on the center burner and still have room to put things on the two right-hand burners. The griddle cooked six small pancakes at once. Love that you can bring the griddle over to the sink to wash it. My previous stove had an integrated griddle that I had to wash in place. This is better. Love the versatility of the burners, too. I melted chocolate on one, seared meat on another. Very happy! Haven't found anything I don't like about it yet.

Overall a great cooktop that scratches too easily

The cafe cooktop was a necessity in my new kitchen. I have always dreamed of having a gas cooktop and since I was doing a major remodel I did some research and decided on this cooktop. Overall I really love this cooktop. The flame is very precise. The low is actually low. My main concern is how quickly and often the stainless steel is scratching. It managed to have several big scratches before it was even installed. It was scratching just from simply trying to clean the tape residue off from the packaging. I am a very cautious person when it comes to taking care of things. I was taking great care to clean this cooktop and it was still scratching. I am honestly concerned about what this expensive cooktop is going to look like in a few months. It's disappointing that such an overall great cooktop could look awful soon.
