Nice looking. Does not clean as easy as expected

I feel it does not cook as well as my old electric range top. You use one range top and the whole range is dirty. It does not clean as easily as you would think.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features

Worked well except the corner cracked and cannot be fixed without being replaced. After heating and cooling some stains remain.

Absolutely worst purchase!

I purchased a suite of 4 appliances and so far 2 of the four have broken. My refrigerator stopped working after only 3 weeks. It took nearly 10 months to get the first refrigerator only to break 3 weeks after using it. The cafe rep gave continuous pushback until finally agreeing to get me a new one. The replacement fridge was ordered in November and I just received that a few weeks ago in mid July. When I received it it wouldn’t work and the door was bent! A repairman was able to get it fixed but told me that the soldering job was the worst he’s ever seen and he’s been in business for over 40 years. He said it’s only a matter of time until it fails! Our cooktop was received in November and just broke after only 8 months! It started smoking and the heating element won’t get very hot. I’m waiting on word from the store as to what they can do. These parts are made very cheaply overseas and then assembled in the US so the “made in the US” claim is very misleading. These appliances are extremely expensive and GE cafe claims that they are high end but they are anything but that. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe how upset I am over this experience

Prefer knobs to be on the side

The cooktop itself is fine and the ability to select burner sizes is a big plus. I have two things I’m not fond of. First I am very short (4’11”) so reaching over knobs to stir something in the large center burner is cumbersome to me. Also when I need to use two large skillets they barely fit properly on burners Unfortunately we could not use a 36 inch cooktop
I would recommend this to a friend!

Can not see the dial numbers

I installed one of these stoves but you can not read the dial numbers. There's a light on the know but the numbers should light up too so you can see them or else can't see them.
Do the numbers have lights?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This cooktop has white LED backlit knob lighting with a beveled edge black glass surface. However, the numbers themselves do not have lights. We apologize for any dissatisfaction this causes.
