Cafe Appliances are THE BEST!!

I have been a huge fan of Cafe Appliances for years. We remodeled our kitchen and put in a Cafe cooktop. It's beautiful. It's state-of-the-art. Will be installing other appliances by Cafe.

Had to return and exchanged for induction

The burners had a very limited range of heat settings. By the time it was on 4 out of 10, it would burn whatever I was cooking. Only liquids could be heating at 4 or above. Within 1 month, I was unable to turn on the right front burner as the dial wouldn't work. It was also very hard to keep clean. The black surface showed every spot or swipe of the towel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We replaced 20-year-old GE stovetop, oven and microwave. They all look great and work great too.

This is a beautiful cooktop for our remodeled kitchen. However we are disappointed and need GE to assist us with an issue that should not be occurring with a product of this stature.
When we attempt to turn the cooktop on, we are unable to do so, even when applying a large amount of pressure, which we shouldn't have to do. Every now and then the illumination will occur and allow us to turn one or two of the knobs, but this is currently unacceptable. GE, please help

Want Something Else

A cooktop element was probably defective when I got it. Noticed a few weeks that the element was not working the way it should. I called for repair and it's scheduled in @ 10 days. On day of repair I was called by the tech who said it needed a new element and they would have to order it and he rescheduled for the following week. Why was not the need of new element handled (ordered) when I originally told them it was not working instead of making me wait another week. Element came in my mail. Waited all day of our appiontment for tech and he never showed or would call back with info on when he might show up. He was supposed to be there between 8-12. Got a call from another tech around 5pm who scheduled two days away but when he got there it was discovered that I received the wrong element despite the detailed description I gave the previous tech. So I'm another 10 days out to get this fixed. Hopefully..........
Besides al that none of the elements temperature settings agree with each other. The low setting on one is the temperature of medium on another.It's really hard to get the right temperature. The glass is so hard to clean and keep clean. The slightest touch of anything shows up and is difficult to remove well enough to where it does not show. If cooktops were not impossible to find now I would return this one.
