Chimney Design

I had my new Vent Hood installed about 1 month ago. I purchased the Hood because it had a modern style and it matched all my other GE Slate appliances. My issue with this Hood is the chimney. The place where the two pieces fit together is terrible. The two chimney pieces do not firmly attach to one another. The metal is so flexible that if you go to dust, the top piece could fall down. The chimney pieces need to have a screw hole so you can screw the two pieces together or design the bottom chimney longer and eliminate the top chimney. I'm really disappointed with how the chimney fits together. I hate the seam as you'll see in the attached photo.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
