Love the size and features!

We bought this for our kitchen remodel and love it so far! We have six young grandchildren and we love that we can lock the controls so that an alarm sounds if tiny fingers try to turn the stove top on. I also love the size. I can easily have a large pot and 4 smaller pots cooking at the same time without any if them being off center.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great features, replacing Ge Profile 16 yrs old.

Love the look and features. Really liked the fact that I can replace my old GE Profile cooktop, with the same size GE cooktop and not have t make any modifications to my countertop.

Bad Knobs

This is a nice stove top but for the knobs placement. When grease splatters and food spills it all gets under the knows and into the controls. Cleaning is difficult and bothersome. Strongly suggest flat touch controls over knobs. Otherwise it works good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

An excellent product except for the control knobs being too close to the burners so that cleanup of splatters requires removal of the knobs and tedious effort to clean that area.

I hate this cooktop!

I am SO disappointed in this cooktop. Not because of the way it cooks but because of how hard it is to keep clean. I bought my first G.E. smooth surface cooktop when we built our house 20 years ago and loved it. So, when we started remodeling our kitchen, I never had a doubt about buying a new larger size smooth G.E. cooktop. However, this new one is a nightmare! Food spatters on the knobs, goes under the knobs, and you have to pull them off to clean and they are not easy to pull off. The surface must be made of a different material than the one I had before because even though I am cleaning with the recommended products and cleaning like instructed, the cleaning takes forever. It has to cleaned throughly every time its used and I have to use a scraper every single time I clean. The recommended cleaning product just seems to smear around like it has oil in it and its like I can't get it to come off. We have only had this new cooktop for about 4 months and I find myself trying to avoid cooking on it because of the long cleanup process. We paid a lot of money for the Cafe series 36" Model CP9536SJSS cook top and I hate it! So, unless you want to spend 30 minutes of your time cleaning the cooktop every single time you cook anything don't buy this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have this stove top in our new home. We like the knob lock feature. We are not sure if we would get knobs located center front again.
