I've been after a camera strap to allow me to easily carry binoculars and a long telephoto camera (Olympus M1X with 300mm lens + 2x teleconverter = 1200mm effective focal length) allowing quick use of either. I use three of the anchors, two in the usual places and one on the tripod hole. With a short lens the two usual strap mounts are fine but for a long lens the tripod mount along with the left hand side usual mount lets the camera dangle by my side comfortably. Excellent flexibility with this strap system.
Yesterday was the first time I was able to put the anchors and strap connectors to use. They felt very secure and were easy to connect and disconnect. I carried my camera with 70-200 lens on a mile and a half hike and never felt that the anchors wouldn't hold. While time will tell as to their durability, I am initially impressed with their construction and ease of use.
Seemingly simple product made even better, The red edge is a nice highlight, but I want to be more discrete at times and the all black is the perfect way to do that.
Everything on my camera and strap is black now. No one can see me coming in the dark. Well, at least until my red autofocus beam goes off and illuminates the subject ... but by then it's TOO LATE! HA HA HA HA HA!
These anchor links are seriously amazing and the ability to use my favorite strap with all of my cameras makes me very happy. To say that I am impressed with these little jewels would be an understatement! Thank you Peak Design! Debra O
