Nice Craftsmanship, but

Very nice. I wish there was an option for personalized spines, and the plastic interior case does not fit the iPad 9 very well.

I've had BookBooks for more than a decade. This one is a little tight, but I think that's a good thing. Feels good, looks great. Would and do always recommend.

Not what it used to be

The quality of the leather on this is no where near as good as the last BookBook case I purchased ( and still have ) for an iPad Air. I am very disappointed in the lower quality, especially at this price point.Not much else has changed, build quality still seems good.

Drop in quality

I have been using a BookBook for my iPad mini for several years and have loved it. When I bought a new iPad, I needed a new one. A side-by-side comparison reveals that the new BookBook uses a different quality material than the first. The inner sleeve that holds the mini is leather and very high quality. The new one is vinyl and looks cheap, and it was a fight to get the iPad in it. The cover is also not leather anymore either, and the gold gilding has nearly worn off in less than a week with hardly any use. I will keep and use the product as there is no comparable product on the market, but I am disappointed. I rate my first BookBook 5 out of 5, but I can only give the second 2. I would be more satisfied if the first notebook had not been such a quality product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works the way I need it to.

Everything was as-advertised. It was a bit tight getting the iPad into the sleeve but once it was in I think the material stretched and accommodated it well. It looks great, it’s light and easy to carry around. I actually take my laptop with me much less.

Put together in a snap?

The product is generally good,except for one problem.the snaps do not line up,so the screen constantly flips back and forth.No matter how many tries I have made to snap the back to itself,it doesn’t match up where it should,so there’s no purpose for the snaps.
