Whomping Willow Castle

This set is amazing, and has such great play, with an opening on the whomping willow to have minifigures jump into, and a nice spinning feature on the tree, and is capable of lifting many other vehicles, such as the Mystery machine from the limited edition Scooby-Doo series, and whatever vehicle you want, and the castle has a nice build with Snape's office and multiple rooms, for a great Hogwarts castle.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Accio more harry potter sets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of my favorite sets
Weasly car is really accurate and it shoots out luggage! but it has very weird driver positions
Whomping willow could use a bit more work, as I found it pretty hard to build. it has the passage from hp 3 in it
Hogwarts Is my favorite part. it has the potions room, the potions store, snape's office, the Gryffindor dorm, and the owlrey
The charecters are very accurate, too

Missing Piece, but overall great!

Overall, this build is fantastic! The build itself was simple and didn’t take much time at all. The only issue I had was a missing piece. I was missing the green round piece that sits at the top of the whomping willow. I looked EVERYWHERE for this piece! I tore apart the couch, looked under the table, looked through every bag, and looked through every nook and cranny. It was nowhere to be found! At the end of the second bag, I had a gray “L” piece...I didn’t even see an “L” piece at all during the first two bags... Looking at the end of the book where all the pieces are listed, THERE SHOULDN’T BE A GRAY L PIECE! It must’ve been a mistake while packaging. It ended up not being a big deal, since the piece I am missing just sits on the top of the tree, but it was definitely a sad thing to deal with in the moment!
Like I said, the set itself is FANTASTIC. I cannot wait to get more sets to connect to the whomping willow and put on display!
I would recommend this to a friend!

More Whirling than Whomping . . .

A little bit of everything. Builds with multiple discrete components like this one (car, tree, building structure) are amongst my favorites. Fun to complete each individual element and watch the scene develop as a whole. The tree was really well done and moves(!!!), which is a cool little feature. Nice addition to my Harry Potter shelf display. Recommend!

The car

The car is by far the most interesting part of this build.
The willow itself is clever.
The castle is fun but the stickers are a pita.
This is my first harry potter set do I don't have anything to compare it to.
I'm a very slow builder as I have to take breaks often for my back so I imagine it would take someone else far less time then the 3 movies I watched while putting it together.

Very nice build overall. The Whomping Willow is great, brilliant that it can actually hold the car in its branches and spin and it even has a opening at the base, perfect for Ron to be dragged into. lol The car is a delightful little build also with nice details like a trunk that opens and can store Harry and Ron's belongings. Minifigures are all lovely with dual faces and the building was a nice build also. Lots of nice little details with the various rooms. Particularly like the potions classroom and Snape's office? Looking forward to getting the Great Hall to connect to this set.

Brilliant Set

I got this for my birthday, I built the car and whomping willow on the day but since I had my party and didn't have time to finish it, I completed it the next morning, surprisingly. I did find building the tower and tree slightly confusing at times, but I'm sure that's because I'm not used to big lego sets. I wish there were more action features too, but the whomping willow is truly amazing and it can hold the car brilliantly. Altogether an amazing set, would definitely recommend.... I can't wait to get the great Hall :D
