I had a pair of The Sixes (fantastic and wish they hadn't been discontinued), but decided to move onto the R-51PMs when I moved cities this year. I use the R-51PM system with the SPL-100 Subwoofer for movies and music in a medium-large room. I listen to music via Bluetooth connection, and I have the speakers connected to my TV via the provided optical cable. Incredibly versatile and easy to use. Sharp and clear sound, but not exhausting to listen to. I cannot say enough good things about these speakers for this price. I highly recommend getting a subwoofer to pair with the speakers to round out your lower frequency sounds, as the R-51PMs alone do not provide enough bass for my personal liking. My system (R-51PM and SPL-100) is absolutely fantastic, I don't think you can find as good of a system for the price point.
Pros: Ease of Use, Sound quality, Versatility
Cons: Not a ton of bass

Nice speakers except bad boominess at certain frequencies

I have these on computer desk with sub-woofer nearby. Sound is mostly great except for loud booming at some bass frequencies. Not a location issue since I get the same effect if I turn off sub-woofer, disconnect left speaker and hold right speaker in my hands away from any wall. Played the same music on other systems and booming is absent. Maybe there's a defect in mine but it's pretty bad.
Pros: Clarity, Connection options, Sub-woofer integration
Cons: Bad boominess at certain bass frequencies

Excellent Speakers

I am thrilled with these speakers and would buy them again. I have these speakers hooked up to my television, but usually use it to play music from my phone. The sound quality is very clean and notably good. The blue tooth connects easily to iPhones and Android phones. I have the television connected with an optical cable that comes with the speakers. Switching between devices is easy. The blue tooth light is behind the speaker grill so to see it blinking I leave the speaker grill off. I like the look of the speakers without the grill so that is not a problem. In a 20' x 40' room these speakers are loud. If you like bases these speaker should be paired with a sub-woofer. I have a 10" sub-woofer which is really too much sub-woofer for these speakers so I keep the sub-woofer turned down. The sub-woofer does add a whole layer of sound. Not having to buy an amp is a huge benefit to owning these speakers.
Pros: Able to Connect to Multiple Devices, Clean Sound Quality, Lots of Power for a homeowner, No Amp Needed
Cons: The blue tooth light is behind the speaker grill

I currently use this as a kitchen system, but will also consider using it temporarily in other locations, such as my garage or camper, as the need arises. Sound quality is really good, no issues with hiss or other noise as experienced by some. Careful placement, along with high quality and adequate input signal voltage, prevents noise issues for me. A small (100 watt) sub matches well and enhances the bottem end.
Pros: Compact, with surprising power
Cons: None worth mentioning

I mostly use this product at my work station, so they are relatively close to me. I'm gonna start off with the unbearable strong interferences coming from the left speaker and accompanied by strong hisses from both of the speakers. I managed to reduce the interference by sticking aluminum foil on the wooden cask approximately near where the AMP should be. Listening to music at a close range is impossible because of the reasons mentioned above.
Pros: Good Sound

They just arrived a week ago and I hooked them up to the TV immediately. Using the optical output on the TV. Compared them one on one with my pair of AR-8 speakers, the little Klipshs sound SO MUCH better! It's just amazing to me how good they are. Those that are complaining about the hiss just need to turn down the main volume control a little bit, at full volume there's some hiss with no input, turn it down just a touch and it's gone. I use this to listen to the TV and DVDs plus I can put a CD in the DVD player and listen to my old CDs when I want to. I've also used the bluetooth connection to my phone to play music. It all works great and sounds SUPER!

Good sound but strong interference.

I first got a pair of these and the left/passive speaker had strong interference and hiss coming from it. Like "GSM phone is about to ring"-sound. Returned it since I thought it was faulty. Got a new pair. Same issue. The store then got my initial pair back from repair and I got it back home. Same issue with the repaired one. Bought some ferrite rings and faraday fabric to shield the speaker and wires. Works like 97%. But, looks like garbage and when there is complete silence in movies or music pauses I can still hear the interference. I have tried grounding them, changing power outlets. I have tried turning of all electrical components in my apartment but the problem is still there. Im assuming the signal is coming from outside. Other active speakers have never had this issue when placed on the same spot. On all the pictures people are using them for their laptop/computer. Im sitting 4 meters away from them and cant stand the interference sound.

They sound good but using is a little buggy

Bought these for my home office and they are on corners of my 2 meter wide table 15cm of the wall. I listen mainly from sitting in between with 1 meter distance, but I also have a bed in the room where I listen from 3 meters away. First I noticed the quiet hiss when the pair is turned on. It's quite loud actually on close range and low volume listening. Not so prevalent when I'm 3 meters away or if listened louder but I know it's there and it's troubling. Secondly there were the usability issues with the dynamic bass eq and it being automatically enabled. I don't like the feature, it's way too much bass for rock music I think. Actually it gives something extra for big drums and bass in classical symphony music, but otherwise it's just annoying. So every time you fire up the speakers you first need to disable the feature, which is done by pressing the sub button from remote for 3 seconds. Auto power on was something I was hoping to be working much better. My music source is the AUX input where I have my Chromecast. If I start music the speakers turn on but in USB mode, so there is no sound. Also if there was sound, then I would also need to disable the dynamic bass eq. So if you want a system that starts up when you press play on your player, then this is not for you.
Pros: Sound
Cons: "Quiet hiss" is not very quiet, Bugs, Usability
