I brought this unit home, (cash and carry) and had it unpacked and installed within 20 minutes. Very easy installation, very easy to use. Unfortunately, after two weeks use, we managed to scratch the cook surface, but that does not hamper the performance of the stove. We are very happy with this stove.
Overall, I thought the product was a solid buy on black Friday. It replaced my old whirlpool that I used for over 15 years. I purchased this one to hope it'll last my family just as long.It was easy to use (could simplify though), well designed, and didn't make any noises.... My only complain is the topping still has some small white spots after cleaning it and would take some extra work to get rid of. It would be helpful if it was entirely cleaned with ease. The quality was also questionable. Some things just felt flimsy and it could be improved.
"Don't look back. Something may be gaining on you." Satchel PaigeI didn't look very far to find this Electric Range. We were replacing another Whirlpool "Picture Frame" Clean Top Self-Cleaning 30" Electric Range, which we bought (oops) in 2001. (Yes, it worked fine until.)Now our Whirlpool 4.8 cu ft Electric Range has all the bells and whistles we wanted. It is user friendly, so we don't have to worry about anyone "gaining ground" on our cooking, baking or broiling. With its super-efficient oven temperature controls, we're able to set the Timer and bake and broil to our heart's content. We have not had to use the "self-cleaning" feature yet, but I'm sure it's a snap. We're fascinated with the control knobs, because they are easy to use. Just push in, turn to setting and done! The digital clock display is also a remarkable feature. At nights, especially, it emits a radiant glow. That's another reason to draw closer and just cook something. We take careful note of the warning on the use of foil or liner on the bottom of the oven. Thanks for this tip, and as the festive season nears, bake and broil with efficiency so that "they won't catch up with you."
