it works well overall however the smaller burners have a hard time getting a pot to boil. It gets very slick if you get any grease on it too. I am happy with my purchase though.

Nothing special about this stove

We replaced and older smooth top with this unit and are somewhat disappointed with it. It takes longer to heat to boiling or frying temperature than our old unit. The stove top is difficult to keep clean, and a streak which looks like a crack in the smoothtop developed after the first few uses.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Reasonably priced good product

We bought this about a month ago and it has worked out well for us. The top has scratched and stained a bit, but otherwise we are very happy with it. It is priced right and does everything we have needed of it.

Much has changed

I liked my 17-year-old Whirlpool so much that when it needed replaced, I bought the exact same thing. However, I was extremely frustrated and disappointed that the preheat feature now takes 12-15 minutes to get up to speed. (The previous model took less than 5.) Also, the racks don't seem as sturdy to me. I have had to alter the way I cook large batches of food because I don't trust that the new racks will hold what they used to.
