Low grade materials used in construction.

Oven top scratched within one week of installation.Small space for storage.The storage door seems to be made of a very low gauge metal, i.e. it sounds 'tinny' when accessed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good range unless boiling water for long time

This range is as good as others I've used with one exception: if boiling water for a long time condensation collects on the instrument panel causing an "F2" error. The error is removed only by turning off the power at the circuit breaker for several minutes. Turning on the fan above and wiping off the condensation can prevent it, but is an unneeded task with other models.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the flat cooktop and ease in using the oven. We went from a coil cooktop to the flat one and the difference is like night and day.

Takes some gettig used to.

This is my first new stove in 20 years and my first flat top. It cooks much faster than my older one resulting in burned bacon.Love the oven. It lets me know when it has reached the correct temperature and does it quckly.The biggest draw back to me is the stove top is harder to clean and keep clean than my old stove. I have only had it less than a month and already have had to have the top replaced due to a very small ring that was left after I boiled something in a pan and it could not be cleaned off. Whirlpool was good and authorized a replacement top. That one was received and installed and there is what looks like an oily residue on one of the "burners" and it will not come off. Whirpool has said it will go away after use. I will use it for a couple of months and then see if it is still there. I have also already scratched this new top as I was told you can scrape it, but no one told me what to scrape it with. I used a metal spatula and it scratched it. I am now told that I should have used a razor blade and go at the spill at an angle.All in all I am pleased, but it will take some getting used to.

I chose this oven because I thought it looked very nice. It looks great in my kitchen. But even more than that it functions well and is very easy to use.
