Easy cooking!

My new range is a joy--even though I'm not a cook! It's easy to use and, especially, easy to keep clean--much easier that a range with the 'coil burners'.. The 'burners' are self regulating so that if no extra heat is needed, the burner turns off for a while. Imagine that!

We previously had a higher end range from another competitor (purchased new 3 years ago) with convection, rapid boil, self cleaning, etc. We decided to purchase this basic stove because we had so much trouble with the other brand!!! The other brand smoked every time a little drop of something hit any part of the oven...even if the food steamed, like with cheesecake. There are 4 people with asthma in our household and this was quite detrimental. We had to open windows and have people leave the house. It was ridiculous.We went back to the trusted Whirlpool brand and I am thrilled. The oven keeps the right temperature, it doesn't smoke. I just love it! It has a timer, the racks adjust easily, the oven light is bright enough to actually see the food baking without opening the door and it was quite inexpensive.The rapid boil is terrific (we love pasta), the top cleans fairly easily, the knobs work well for my grandmother who is 100 years old. She can easily tell when it turns off because it clicks. You have to push the knob in so it doesn't accidentally turn on...a great feature for people with seniors or young children in the family.The price versus quality is amazing! We paid a very modest amount for a solid range. It even looks sharp with the stainless on the front.We have not used the self-cleaning yet.I highly recommend this range to anyone wanting a sharp looking appliance that does what it is supposed to do. I am relieved to be able to bake without worrying about smoking everyone out of the house. I am an excellent cook who cooks/bakes from scratch so I use the range every day.

This appliance was very simple and easy to install, replacing an older gas appliance. It has simple and easy to use controls and required but a few moments to get familiar with them. It works as promised and is easy to clean and maintain.

Can not see controls

Not being able to turn the stove on in a store I was unable to see how it works. There is no light or control to tell you oven or broil is on except a tiny arrow pointing to the unlit word. Top very hard to keep clean. The oven and top does heat up very quickly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
